I think Remillard needs a promoter that will take him out to the southwestern part of the US and get some viable experience with fighters at his weight. The guys that CES gets are complete stiffs and don't put up much of a fight.

Remillard To Fight At Foxwoods

Unbeaten featherweight Matt Remillard of Manchester will fight on the undercard of a championship tripleheader Saturday at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

Remillard (11-0, 7 knockouts), who has not fought since injuring his left wrist in September 2006, will fight Oscar Marin (3-4).

Good news!! An actual opponent and a card NOT promoted by CES! I say he actually fights. That's the card that has Tarver, Forrest and Nonito Donaire. I'm real close to pulling the trigger on tix.

Grano - Back in Action

Grano back in Action!
Wednesday, November 28 2007
Heavyweight prospect fights for seventh time this year
Tony "TNT" Grano (12-0-1, 10 KOs) returns to the ring this Saturday at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut when he takes on seasoned veteran John Battle (14-18-1, 7 KOs) in an eight round heavyweight contest. The Grano-Battle clash is a special undercard attraction of the Antonio Tarver vs. Danny Santiago IBO title fight.

("Seasoned veteran" John Battle is actually a blown-up CW who has only fought at or above 200lbs. 3 times in 33 fights. He is also coming off a year-long layoff. His most impressive wins include 2 over Eric Starr who sports a 15-33-3 (3) record and 1 over Caseny Truesdale with a 10-61-3 (6) record. Grano is going to bankrupt the town of Hebron scheduling another field trip to the casino this year.)

I like the fact that Grano is staying active and is taking fights whenever he can. Seven fights in a year for a HW is pretty darn impressive. Maybe some of the alphabet soup title holders should take his example and get into the ring more often.

This Saturday (Dec 01). It's also going to be on Showtime @ 9:00pm.

I think it has been sold out (but don't quote me on this)

addy irizarry was never on this card, get your facts straight. Also the real joke is Tony Granno who never fights anyone good who only fights cupcakes. Did you see addy's last fight wich was said to be the best fight of the night, against Nicole Woods who was ranked # 2 in the amatures?

Was she never on the card or did she decision Nichole Woods on that very card? I am not sure where all the hostility is coming from but you have me a little puzzled.

Calm down dude ... Not a great way to start posting here. The post of the bouts on the Foxwoods card was cut and pasted from fightnews.com.

BTW, I'm also not a fan of Grano. He'll get destroyed once he really steps up. I saw him against David Polk and thought he lost the fight convincingly, but got a charity hometown decision.

I was talking about the Grano card this summer, no hostility, just people were talking about her 2 quick knockouts like she only will fight cupcakes. Blame that on CES, she will fight who ever they give her like you said she is no spring chicken and she needs to fight as much as she can before her time is up.
