Freshman team sounds awesome!

I think we are looking at 5-5, but here only district record matters and then only for home field advantage. The way I see it is we lose to North Bullitt then beat Larue.

I think we go back to Marion for the first round of the playoffs. If we do I guarentee we beat them by 2 TD's.

My alma mater New Dorp is 3-0, rated #3 on Staten Island and #5862 in the country. They have beaten three quality schools in the PSAL in Lehman, Midwood, and Bayside.

Thanks for the link Mike

Tough loss for the boys last night 41-28. We scored with 1:35 left to cut it to 35-28. They recovered the onside kick, we had two timeouts left but on their second play they ran it for a TD.

Injuries and penalties killed us. Both of our starting RB's did not play. Tony Knox was out for the second straight game and Claine Reisinger played the first quarter before reinjuring the shoulder he hurt last week.

Nate had a great game. 10 carries for 87 yards and 2 TD's. Both TD's were over 20 yard runs. Unfortunately, him being a RB puts a WR in who can't freaking catch the ball. Of course it is a coach's son so they continue to play him. We had a third and 10 tied 21-21 at their 30 yd line in the 3rd Quarter. We ran a middle screen and the WR had an easy TD but dropped a perfect pass.

Penalties killed even a bigger game for Nate, as he had two 60 yard punt returns called back because of blocks in the back that had zero effect on the play.

Drops us to 2-4 on the season. Nate was player of the game and was interviewed on the radio after the game. The radio announcers started talking about him as one of the top 2 or 3 players in Bullitt County and the East MVP so far this year.

Sounds like this coaches son needs to be benched. Obviously it wouln't happen but his "butter fingers" probably cost BE the game but the penalties and the failed onside kick did not help.

There were two problems with him ... he dropped two sure big yardage catches and then he was lazy running routes. Twice he was open and the QB put the ball where he should have been and he didn't get to the ball.

The worst part is the dad isn't even really part of the coaching staff, just one of those dads that shows up at every practice and constantly talks to the coaches. He stands on the sidelines during the games also. He had been in the Special Teams coach's ear about playing his kid at PR. Nate went to the head coach this week and said he understood they had to play him in different spots on offense but why wasn't he punt returning?

He is second all-time in Bullitt East history in PR yards and 1 TD shy of tying the PR record. I seriously doubt he will miss another PR this year after last night.

For anyone who has followed this thread the one thing Nate does week in and week out is make big kick and punt returns.

Claine had the big momentum changing play this week though, after Nate had done it 3 weeks in a row. They had the ball with 2 minutes left in the 1/2 and up 21-7. Claine picked the ball off at the 50 and ran it back to the 20. They next play was a sweep to Nate for a TD.

Two weeks in a row Nate has found the endzone twice. I think he now has 7 TD's on the year.

Nate always makes big plays on kick returns and some armchair warrior feels the need to tell the coaches that his son should play over Nate who happens to be the MVP of the team.

Don't you just love parents like that?

Yeah this is the same dickweed that kept complaining about the hotel reservations I had made for the team for the ND 7 on 7 tourney, when I was paying for the whole damn trip. I finally called him and said the team is staying here, if you don't like it feel free to keep your kid with you in another hotel.

He gave me some crap, so I know he doesn't like Nate. Esp. since Nate catches everything thrown at him and his kid drops passes.

This guy sounds like a moron. He is probably just mad that his kid is a choke artist and Nate is clutch. Wouldn't be surprised if he was the type of parent that belittles his kid after performing poorly during a game. There usually the ones that have to completely involved and kiss butt to get an opportunity.

I want to say though the kid is a good kid despite his dad, he just doesn't need to be the starting WR or PR.

It took my kid being nearly knocked out last week to get me to come down to the sideline. I'm just not one of those interferring parents. If I was a coach there wouldn't be a parent on the sideline or at practice .... ever.

That said our QB is the offensive coordinator's son. In all fairness though he has been a coach at BE for 15 years, and his kid earned the starting spot.

I know you are not one of those interfering parents. If the kid constantly drops important passes that determine an outcome of a game, he should be a backup.

I don't have a problem with a coaches son starting if he has earned the spot. My issue is when you start kissing up to the coaches to get you kid playing time when he is clearly inferior to the person starting.

Thursday night game tonight since Bullitt County schools are out tomorrow. Going to be a tough one. North Bullitt is a great team and we aren't at 100%. They beat us 30-12 last year in a mud bowl. Two years ago we beat them in double overtime at their place. We went 14-1 and lost in the semi-state that year. North is looking at the 4A title this year.

They have one of the best QB and RB combos in the state. Their junior RB needs 100 yards tonight to pass 4000 for his career. Their QB is the real star of the team though. He is getting D1 looks for his play at safety.

He is every bit the runner the RB is and they run a lot of spread option.

game will be on tonight at 7:30

If you check back to the first post of this thread I started it because we beat them in the playoffs. Since then they are 6-11. They were great prior to us beating them. They won 6 championships in 7 years prior to us knocking them out of the playoffs. They feel like they are entitled to the win just because they are Boyle County. So I'm making fun of them.

They play Lexington Catholic this week who is one of the best smaller schools in the state. So they will be 0-5 after this week and probably still ranked.
This is funny ... Boyle County is 0-5 now. They got beat pretty easily at home by Lexington Catholic. Here are some of the comments on the khsaa board about from their fans.

I would like to get everyone opinion on about; how far will this Boyle Co. team of 2007 will go in the playoffs?I think they can make a deep run, like maybe all the way to State.

I think you are wrong about Boyle County being out in the first round. They will probably play East Jessamine which is a very winnable game. They would play Lexington Catholic in the second round which is a winnable game as well. Lexington Catholic is very beatable this year and I think Boyle County will gain some momentum with their remaining regular season schedule.

They should be a vastly improved team by playoff time.
Uh Lex. Cath. just beat you by 21 on your home field .. but going to Lex. Cath is a winnable game????

Quote:
Boyle's time will come. This team is too good and too well coached to not pull it together. Their schedule has been difficult and I am sure the opportunity to rest and regroup will do them a world of good. There is still a lot of football to be played. Boyle shocks the state at the end of the season!
too funny .. they make us Notre Dame fans look humble. ND is 0-5 and played a tough schedule.... too bad they don't have a playoff format in college football because we could go all the way!!!

Huge win for the boys tonight. Packed house and we beat a great team. Nate took a pitch 75 yards for a TD to put Bullitt East up 35-14 with 10 minutes left and we held on to win 42-35.

It wasn't that close as they scored with 5 seconds left with a lot of help from the ref.

The called a BS pass interference call on Nate on 4th down. Gave them the ball at the 7 with 13 seconds left. Qb scrambled to the 2 .... no first down and not out of bounds, yet somehow the clock stopped until the ref marked the ball.

There star RB probably had 200 yards. Nate was probably over 100 but he was getting stuffed up the middle all night. Tony Knox was back for us and probably put up 100 yards as well.

My Freshman team suffered it's first loss yesterday 9-6 to a very good Sunrise Mountain team. We have been mistake free all year, with only two turnovers in the first five games combined and an average of only 3 penalties per game. Last Night we had three turnovers and 9 Penalties, one of which brought back a TD. Then up 6-3 we were called for roughing the Kicker on a Punt. Later on that drive we were called for a total BS PI penalty on 4th down that set them up inside our 20. Then on 4th and 9 our CB slipped and they took a WR screen to the house.

We drove down the field throwing the ball as time ran down, but got stopped on a 4th and 3 inside their 15 with 39 seconds left....A heartbreaking loss, but I give them credit for shutting down our running game, only 98 yards on the ground and 118 passing, more than half on our final drive. The crappy PI call certainly cost us, but I will never blame a loss on the refs as I believe you should never be in the position to let them decide the game, plus we did rough the kicker on the same drive which allowed that to happen. It also didn't help that our top 2 Tailbacks were out with injuries sustained in our win over Tolleson last week, but we still could have pulled it out.

Despite the loss it was an intense, physical, defensive battle and it was fun to Coach in. We now sit at 5-1 and I am proud of the effort the kids put forth, they played their asses off and at least 20 of them were in tears after the game (I felt terrible for them)........I really love the way they left it all on the field, great group of kids.

Tough loss Lee .... North Bullitt was really a game we were not supposed to win. We were without 4 of our 5 starting O-Line ... Claine did not play. Michael Bozarth who leads our team in tackles was out.

But everybody came up big. The WR actually caught a couple of passes too.

Hard to believe your freshman were held to 6 points.
