Huge win for us .. smacked Valley 46-20 ... with that win we are in the playoffs .. win next week and we get the first game at home.
Nate didn't do much he was a bit banged up. Bruised ribs. Played corner most of the game. Had 5 carries for 20 yards on offense. |

Congrats on the big win, I'm sure y'all are all kinds of exicted right. So what do you think y'alls chances of winning next week and grabing a home game are.

Well it is a big game. First off it our rivals. Second they have to win to make the playoffs. Third we have to win to get home field. Fourth it's our senior night.
They have one of the top running backs in the state and he has 1800 yards in 9 games. But Valley had a kid averaging 175 yards a game and they (as a team) had 35 carries for 36 yards tonight. Our pass defense isn't real good but North Bullitt likes to run. If we win we probably see Valley again in the first round of the playoffs. Outside chance we could still miss the playoffs but numerous things would have to happen. I think either way we play Valley again in the first round. Then Central. |

North Bullitt at Bullitt East
When: 7:30 tonight. Records: North Bullitt (6-3, 4-3 AAA, Region Two, District Three), Bullitt East (6-3, 5-2). Keys to the game: North Bullitt must win and get some help to reach the playoffs. Sophomore running back Dalton Cissell ran for 191 yards against Atherton last week and became the school's single-season rushing leader with 1,880 yards. The Chargers must win to assure themselves of a playoff spot. Travis Broughton leads Bullitt East, having completed 61 of 126 passes for 717 yards and 14 TDs. Tony Knox has rushed for 610 yards and seven TDs. This is the second annual battle for the Dignity Memorial Bullitt Cup. Jason's pick: Bullitt East 28-21. |

Talked to the radio station today also and they said that you have to have at least broadband for the streamcast to work (not sure if any of you have dial up still, maybe Chris with that whole no cable deal he's got going). Go to www.reach93.org and click the headphones at the top of the page. I just did it and it brings up another window, so I had to hold control so my popup blocker would allow it. It took almost 1 minute for it to go through connecting and buffering then came on. Broadcast should start somewhere between 7:15 and 7:30 depending on if they have a pre recorded coach interview. That is EST. Biggest game of the year until next week LOL. It is our rival though and they seriously hate us so it should be a good one. |

Took it in the shorts tonight 30-12. North wanted it more in a mud bowl. Couldn't read a single # of any kid on the field. Nate played well in a loss. He will need to bulk up if they are planning on playing him at RB next year. 5'11" 175 isn't RB weight.
He'll need to be at least 200. Scoreboard watching now to see if we make the playoffs. |

Damn, tough break for y'all. Hopefully, Waggoner can pull the upset and the tiebreakers fall in your favor. If it doesn't happen good luck for next year.

It was senior night and only 10 seniors were names .. only 4 start .. plus there is a realignment next year. Going to six classes, regions only have 4 teams in them and nearly every team makes the playoffs.

Well, we lost 13-3 in the state quarterfinals tonight, so Football is over for me for the Season.....really sucks, our Offense came in averaging over 32 points a game, so in any scenario we would have expected to move on holding a good Sunnyside team to 13, but hats off to them, their Defense played great....
I will have more time for Title Bout now, but I would trade that to still be playing ![]() |

Spring notes
Spring practice is over and the team looks pretty good. They will be about 85% run this year, which is okay since Nate is going to be one of the two starting tailbacks. He finished last season at 167lbs (he is 5'10") and is up to 182 now. He goes to Velocity Training (at $625 for two months) to help build mass while keeping his speed. He tested at 4.63 for his 40 on a computer (comp time is always slower than handheld time, his coaches clocked him at 4.5 handheld).
Spring game Nate lead all rushers with 23 carries for 160 yards and caught 3 passes for 34 yards. He will also start at Corner this year. Velocity also prepares them for combines and we have about 4 coming up in the next two months. My contribution to the football program is sending the team to Notre Dame's National 7 on 7 tourney in June. We will send 17 kids and be one of 48 teams there. I don't volunteer my time to work concessions of anything else because I want to watch the game. So for $1500 my contribution is done LOL. Their schedule this year includes opening up in Papa John's Cardinal stadium at U of L. Also a game against Manual a usual power school. |

Man, we are still 3 weeks from Spring ball here...I'm jealous!!!
Congrats to Nate, great numbers for the Spring Game (We also can't do that in AZ, as there are no pads in the Spring) Did his Coach change the Offense, those rushing stats sound like us. We run Wing-T at Westview and have ranked number 1 in rushing yards among big Schools 2 of the last 3 years. We have our starting FB, QB and TB (returning Region Offensive POY) back this Season, so we should put up some good numbers again on the ground. We do lose three starters on the line, but it looks like we will be able to reload there, plus we will be more athletic up front as well..... Keep us posted.. |

We run the veer, have for 20 years. They just threw a little more last year because no one could really run up the middle and the QB was more of a thrower. The current QB is a runner and the only problem will be whether or not he pitches the ball. Tony Knox the leading rusher is back but did little or nothing to bulk up. Nate still wants to get to 195 by the season. He has lifted a ton with his legs and did a good job up the middle pushing the pile.

First Recruiting letter
Nate got his first recruiting letter in the mail today. Centre College a Division III school.
http://www.centre.edu/web/athletics/..._football.html We went to visit Morehead St. last year but we initiated that. This letter was to him and the coach said that the Bullitt East coach had recommended him. Also Nate's best friend will be playing there next year. One of the lineman from last year's team. It looks as though I will get 4 more years of football!!!! |
