16 days until Bullitt East Chargers first game. Nate is starting tailback, cornerback, kick return, and punt return. They even put in a pass play for him to throw the ball. Should be fun.
He managed to bulk up to 185. Kept it around 180 throughout the practices. We have recruiting game visits set up for Centre College, Morehead St. and Butler. |

I have a rather pleasant dilemma for an Offensive coordinator....5 Tailbacks that could all start and be productive, 3 Fullbacks likewise and for good measure 3 solid Wingbacks and two very capable Kids at QB........The obligatory bad news is our line is nowhere near last years in terms of quickness and athleticism....not good when you run Wing T.....We have some work to do or our talented stable of Backs will be nothing more than $12,000.00 Stereo system in a Pinto.

PRP was a 6A school ... we lost 20-14 but we played them pretty even considering we were without 5 starters who were suspended or out with injury. All 5 will be back for next weeks game.
Nate did alright. He has a stinger in his left shoulder so they didn't let him run the ball very much but he did take a screen pass 50 yards. He dropped a couple of balls though. He made 3 nice tackles on defense also. |

Nice, thats a respectable showing Mike.
We have our program scrimmage/Barbeque tonight, my best Tailback has a Hip flexor, so I am holding him out....He's too valuable to risk aggravating it and those things can hang on for a long time if you don't rest them. We open in 10 days and I need him healthy for that. Again the good news is we have 3 behind him that are more than capable and they will get some extra touches tonight. Still have some starting spots up in the Air as well, so we will have some decisions to make after we break down film. I also moved our starting free safety down to rover (basically an outside backer in our 4-4 scheme) a little ****, but he brings it and is almost impossible to block he is so quick.....Should be fun, I love speed and we have plenty! ![]() |

Thanks, I'm actually on the badwagon this year.
It looks like a tough schedule, seems five of your opponents are also mentioned somewhere in the state ratings. What's that about almost every team makes the playoffs? Is it eight teams in each of six classes?

No they switched the classes this year to 6 instead of 4 but they kept the 32 team playoff system for each class. So something like 192 out of 217 teams will make the playoffs.
Class 4A has only 32 teams so everyone makes it. What it did was allow us to schedule a lot of tough games. Woodford County, our first game is a 5A school who would be ranked if it wasn't for their top player being out for the first 1/2 of the season. Manual is very tough also. Our three games that matter this year is Marion County, Larue County and North Bullitt. Those three teams will make up our first two rounds of the playoffs. We go 3-0 against them and the first two games are at home. Most likely scenario is we lose to North Bullitt in the season and then again in the second round of the playoffs. |

Here again is the site for the streamlink if anyone is interested. My guess is the game will not start at 5 because we have a heat index rule. But it is supposed to rain on saturday so that may cool things off a bit. |
