kenyan_cheena invites you all to participate in his HBF/IBL universe...

SAL's inclusion of Romy in his McCune Boxing Federation universe has given me an idea.

I'm extending an invitation to all of you to have a fictional fighter in my HBF/IBL universe. Just provide the following information and I'll make the boxers and eventually, you'll be able to read about yourself in my universe threads.

(Note: To make it more exciting, I'll try to make each fighter rated around about 10, to give each of you a realistic chance of success in the universe).

The divisions I have are Heavy, Light Heavy, Middle, Welter, Light and Feather.

Please provide:

Fighter name:
Nationality:
Hometown:
Age:
Boxer or slugger:
Skin colour:
Weight division:
Personality traits:
(eg. egotistical, reserved, dark and brooding. Just so that when I write about the guy I can give him more colour and dimension)
Most outstanding ability:
(eg. KO Power, Control, Endurance, Speed)

Those following my thread will be aware that the IBL is just starting up so anyone who wants to be in it should get a spot in it's coming tournaments. Heavyweights will be included in one of the feeder leagues after their initital tourney is over.

Thanks. I hope many of you take up this offer because I know that including you in my universe will just make it more enjoyable for me, and surely for you aswell.

Just to add, all fighters will start at the beginning career stage. Also you don't have to use your own name (but if you do most of us will know who you are) or personality. It's up to you how you want me to make your fighter.

Ha, yes this is a great idea.

Fighter Name: Romy "Iceman" Alvarez
Nationality: American
Hometown: Belle Glade, Florida
Age: 22
Boxer or Slugger: Boxer
Skin Color: Hispanic
Weight Division: Heavyweight, you know I have to be part of HBF.
Personality Traits: Quiet, shy, very loyal to his friends, respectful towards his opponents, doesn't let any trashtalk effect him usually however if he's pushed far enough he has a nasty temper.
Most Outstanding Ability: Fast, Defensive boxer with above-average control ability and endurance, has alright power, has a dentable chin, not Patterson bad but can be dropped or stopped if he's caught with something big, not the most aggressive fighter nor is he the greatest finisher.

No problem. The more, the merrier.

As for boxer or slugger, a boxer is the type of fighter who uses his jab and will try to win with strategy while a slugger is more aggressive and will try to finish off his opponent quickly with power punches.

235 pounds will put you in the Heavyweight Boxing Federation, my friend. Seeing as your guy is Canadian, he'll find a spot in the Canadian Boxing League eventually.

intresting. Can he be both based upon the situation? FOr example early in the fight he picks his battles, but later it's go for the gusto?

And the Canadian division? Sweet I win by default

Thanks Javier and Chris.

Thanks for the background, Chris. I'll be sure to work it into the story.

Javier is going to be competing for the limelight in Mexico with Sanchez and Saldivar. They might not take kindly to another guy trying to steal their thunder...

I just remembered that you can actually choose either, so if you want I'll do that. With the bouts I run, the computer selects the strategies but if you want to have some input into that I should be able to manage it.

Yep, IBL. You'll be "discovered" during the league's world wide selection trials.

Thanks, NCM. Although I've never heard of a South Korean named Sean Hargraves, but that's cool.
