Ad ware Help

Okay i have never had an issue with ad ware pop ups until now. I have scanned with Norton as well as adaware and they say things are being deleted but the popups keep coming back. It is always for sportsbook.com, some virus por crap and some other betting site. My computer is only a couple of weeks old so i have no idea where the heck i got this stuff from. It doesnt happen often but it is still annoying. Any help would be great.

Do a search for Adaware from Lavasoft. It used to be a free download and cleans much of that garbage up for you.

Yeah thats what i use but it isnt wiping out the crap i have.

I use internet explorer as a browser and actually havent been to a porn site with the new computer. Really not sure where the heck it could have come from.

Pick up Spybot Search and Destroy (http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html) and HiJack This (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php). They are good at getting to the root of the problem.

I used Adaware, Spybot and similar programs for years. They take off the malware but the junk always comes back. The only effective solution I've found is to replace Internet Explorer with Firefox.

Since I switched to Firefox, I've had virtually no problem with adware or popups.

I use Spy Bot,AVG anti-virus,ZoneAlarm firewall,and CClean...all are free and you can find all of them at Filehippo.com I havent had a problem since I started using them about 6 months ago. Hope ya get it straightened out....computer problems can absolutely drive a person to the verge of insanity..lol.

Well i went and reformatted and things are back to normal. I am going to make sure i add a couple of programs to make sure this doesnt happen again. Does anyone else use Mozilla Firefox?
