Carlos Hernandez vs. Kevin "can't believe he is still fighting" Kelley.

But the best thing is Raul Martinez is on the undercard .. After his January fight with Ledesma where he was winning big but was cut real bad and told the doc to give him one more round and then KO'd the guy ... he might be one of my favorite prospects.

Kevin Kelley is a very shot fighter. I'm surprised he didn't retire after losing to Bobby Pacquiao. Carlos Hernandez is quite shop worn as well but he should win the fight easily.

I have never seen Raul Martinez fight so i'm looking forward to seeing that. The main event could be worse than the Contender finale in terms of who is fighting. I wish OLN could have televised the Campas/Duddy fight tomorrow. It should air locally in my area on "Broadway Boxing" but i'm not sure about that.

Update: Duddy/Campas will be aired on tape delay on 10/6. It sucks that they will take a week to get it on the air but like they say "better late than never".

Nah. Duddy is going to be on MSG (a cable channel in NY). Should have made that clearer. I will post something on it when it airs here.

I agree about Martinez and i'm very surprised at the performance of Kevin Kelley. He turned back the clock a few years and was impressive. Hernandez after the fight annonced his retirement. I don't think Kelley will win against anyone young and breathing but he kept the light on for another possible fight. Rumors are circulating that he might fight David Diaz.

On Friday, I got to see the card from MSG via live stream with John Duddy and "Baby Face" Garcia. Personally I thought Campas beat Duddy but "Yory Boy' got jobbed out in a hometown decision. It was a classic brawl between two guys with poor defense. Duddy ended up with cuts over both eyes and didn't really impress me at all. A lot of people who saw the fight say he might have been exposed and could make a case that his power is overrated, too. For what it is worth both guys have really good chins. In the undercard Garcia defeated Ernesto Zepeda pretty impressively with a fourth round TKO and is another really nice quality win for the nineteen year old.

Martinez is going to have cut problems but he is a very solid fighter at this stage of his career.
