Duddy vs Campas
I havent been on the forum in a couple of weeks,so this may be a subject you guys have already discussed: Did anyone see the Duddy/Campas fight on MSG.com the other night? What a fight! Fight of the year candidate for sure. I have been following Duddy for a couple of years now and he had his first big test against a game and ready to rumble Campas..I think it is going to be replayed on MSG network for those of you who have it. If you havent seen the fight...I think it is up on YouTube in six or seven parts..it is worth watching! Duddy showed tremendous heart, stamina and a reliable chin..all the questions that you wonder about in a young prospect. He was cut bad over both eyes as well..and his cutman did a bang up job. If you havent seen the fight...head to YouTube now and watch. I dont know if Duddy will ever be a p4p guy(no defense at all),he has the potential to be another Gatti-type guy who always finds himself in big-time scraps. Only time will tell...I tell ya this...I will be watching!

I am pretty sure it's on this Friday, and the Joe Mesi fight is being shown on FOX throughout the week as well (and the Casamayor-Ramirez bout too for that matter).
I really enjoy watching Duddy fight. As you stated, I am not so sure he'll ever be a "great" fighter, but he'll sure as hell put on some great fights. If you haven't seen it yet, you should also check out the "Broadway Boxing" shows. They showcase a lot of local (NYC) talent and you can follow a guys career since they show them so often. Curtis Stevens, Edgar Santana, Peter Quillin to name a few. Well worth watching. Sorry to be so long winded but since i just thought of it: does anyone out there get the shows from Mexico? (I think they're GUILTY cards). I used to pick them up on Comcast but no more. I was following a few of those guys too, but not any more. |
