Cotto - Judah spoiler thread

Figured I'd throw up a few threads for Saturday's great day of boxing!

For the Record I will go with my normal Cotto pick - Cotto inside 8.

Also I'll go with Soto UD, Chavez Jr. inside 5, and Thompson with a late stoppage.

I'm picking Cotto also in later rounds. I'm a bit concerned though. Judah will be in top form I suspect and feisty early in the fight. After a few hard body shots Zab may keep his hands in and this will allow Cotto to plod and chop away. Watch that chin Cotto....plz....

Toughest fight of his career. Cotto wins this one and he is certified elite in my book.

IF Judah shows up like it's his last chance it has the potential to be the fight of the year.

If Judah feels a shot to the rib cage early though it could break his spirit (which is like breaking a twig) and the fight will be over.

I think Judah wins the first 3 to 4 rounds then Cotto breaks him in the 8th-10th.

That's always my prediction for Cotto in case you hadn't noticed ... I just think it could be a great fight if somehow Judah found some heart!

You and I have always been in agreement here ... Cotto is probably my current favorite fighter

I think I called Cotto inside of 7 in the other thread on the subject. I expect Cotto to take Zab out in the 7th/8th. I don't think Zab can stay on his game enough to give Cotto that tough of a fight. Zab will do something stupid that will cost him the fight of that I have no doubt.

Cotto inside six. Like Mike said, if Judah shows up like his life depends on winning this fight, you very well might get another memorable moment at MSG and another possible FOY candidate added to an already growing list.

Thats the biggest problem with this fight. Does anyone really trust Zab to come out in top form and keep it up for the whole fight. I think we'll see a very good fight for the first few rounds before Zab blows the fight and loses.

It would be great if Zab Judah trained like Floyd Mayweather and came into this fight at the very best he could be. But if his fight against Mayweather wasn't enough inspiration to get into the shape of his life to fight 12 rounds, I don't see it happening now, either.

Cotto has been shaken/staggered in several fights that I've seen, but he's never been down that I know of and he always seems to recover pretty fast.

Cotto by late round stoppage (between 9th and 10) after surviving a knockdown!

Listening to the announcers trash the fight was pretty entertaining. The best part of watching fights on the computer is that when you get a slow one you can just surf the internet which is what I was doing most of the time.

If you are a professional fighter, you should come out in top form and give a full effort for twelve rounds. If you have no desire to do so like Zab has done in the past, it's time to find something else to do.

Agreed, now someone needs to tell Zab that. I'm praying that Zab comes to fight at 100% for the whole fight. I think Cotto wins regardless but a top notch Zab will give us a damn good fight and let us know were Cotto stands for real against the elite of the division.

Wow Soto is pretty good. I wouldn't have any problems putting him in with the elite of the division.

Great heart by Bobby to keep going though ... that was a heck of a straight right to finish it.

That was a very entertaining fight and yes that right hand that ended was nasty. Yes, I want to see Soto against the best in the division I have no doubt that we would see some damn good fights on of that.
