I'm in total shock. "Baby Face" just lose to a forty year old fighter who had an eight and a half year layoff. JCG for some reason just did not look like he was into the fight mentally or there was some sort of undisclosed injury that was concealed. Hopefully Javier could shed some light on this if he knows what happened.

Thats cool. I hadnt watched it yet but i know you didnt mean to do it. Heat of the moment kinda thing. I just wanted to be sure the title was changed before anyone else saw it.

For the first three rounds I thought to myself, "Maybe he needs the work and is getting it in an official match" The next couple of rounds I was looking to see what else was on TV. It was strange

Yeah i watched it last night. Definitely not a very good fight.

Hopefully JCG will rebound from this. A whole bunch of so-called boxing fans on different boards are already jumping ship on him and calling him "overrated". If any of them saw his fights with Wiley, Sanchez, and Zepeda they would know he has a lot of talent. He is still only twenty years old and can still be a star. His focus definitely needs work and Friday's performance was just a case of inexperience and looking past the fighter in front of you. I'm not jumping ship or giving up on him just yet.

I hear what you are saying Javier. It was a really bizzare fight and hopefully Roberto Duran doesn't quit on him. JCG just seemed very distracted and hopefully he can move past this and get back on track.
