Wcbm
Hello,
I just unearthed my WCBM v1.03- I've always been partial to the management side of things. Anyway, it seems that their website is no longer up and running, [edited - pirating of any sort including requests is not allowed] Thanks and take care, Danny Last edited by CONN CHRIS : 08-06-2007 at 07:36 AM. |

I do not know what the status of that game is, but I would assume that it was copy righted: requesting to obtain a free key is not a great way to introduce yourself to another game company's message board.
We have a great little boxing sim with a manager version right around the corner if you are interested.

Wcbm
Conn,
First, let me state that I do play TBCB, in fact I'm really looking forward to the new version. As far as your other concerns. I think that if you reread my post, you’ll find that I mentioned the fact that the website hosting WCBM is dead and gone, therefore there is no way- that I can find- to obtain a copy of the reg-key. In fact, it appears that the company that made WCBM and everything connected to it, is dead. I even tried to find a copy of Alex Deacon’s- the creator of the game- email address to see if he could point me in the right direction. As far as "copyright infringement", I've already purchased a reg-key from the WCBM site. Unfortunately, they left no way for the people, who've supported them all of these years, to obtain the reg-keys that we've already paid for. So, to you and everyone else out there, have no fear, there's no copyright infringement here. I guess that this is just the downside to purchasing games from smaller companies, you never know when they're going to sink into the abyss never to return. But, I do support any company that makes a good boxing sim. Unfortunately, there are too few out there. Back to your other point- When is the newest version TBCB, complete with management mode, supposed to be out? |

Tiger has a point - in that....anybody who bought wcbm and for one reason or another needed a new reg key were essentially screwed by the wcbm guys because they vanished overnight. They wouldn't help out the few dozen out there that actually paid for the game or were ready to unlock their demo version.
One of their developers became disillusioned and jumped ship when they started ignoring all their custumers, and past on the master reg key to the fan base. In fact, since it was the game developer who sent out the reg keys, no one can cry piracy. Some still have the key.... ![]()
