Maskaev-Peter is on!

After seemingly endless delays, it looks as if the WBC heavyweight title clash between Oleg Maskaev and Samuel Peter is finally on. Fightnews is reporting that it will take place on October 6th at Madison Square Garden. Still rooting for "The Big O", but will be surprised if Peter doesn't win the green strap. Kind of hope that he does, so that Vitali can give him an even worse beating than Wlad did. I guarantee that you won't see the elder Klitschko on the canvas vs the Nigerian.

I thought this was pretty solid already .. had the tv deal in place and everything.

There had been some snags of late, many of them centering around Don King's involvement in the event, as shocking as that may be!

I think it is a good fight for however long it lasts. Maskaev won't be hiding from Peter. Peter should KO him in grand fashion inside 5.
