I was looking at that the other day and it is a pretty good P4P list. My only problem with it is that Marquez should replace Mosley.

Rafael? Not sure he belongs on the list after losing the other night. Mosley has been impressive as of late. Not sure he is p4p but I don't think it's a stretch to put him on the list.

Of course knowing how people think if Cotto beats him then Mosley was over the hill and washed up

R. Marquez deserves to be above Mosley on any of todays P4P lists - His quality of opposition over the past 2 years easily puts him there.....He lost to another P4P top rated guy in a FOY fight...(in which it was a slightly early stoppage to boot).

I'm with a87star - Marquez certainly belongs ahead of Mosley....

Good list, and nice to see someone try to do it right (make it an actual poll among several experts/journalists instead of just passing one person's opinion as objective truth). Be interesting to see how it turns out if and when there are 20 worldly voters instead of 10 mostly US voters.

Interesting that Iole said he voted for Vernon Forrest for #10: http://sports.yahoo.com/box/blog/box...lQSkeugLqUxLYF

I watched the Forrest/Baldomir fight on HBO on demand recently and I was impressed with how good Forrest looked. He might be totally healthy and that would still make him a threat in the MW division.

My case for Rafael Marquez being on the p4p list is because he hadn't lost a fight in the last seven years until last saturday and that happened to be against another p4p fighter in Israel Vasquez. Shane Mosley has fought some good fighters the last few years but in that same period Marquez has fought the better competition but you can definitely make an argument for both.

Yeah but consider the fact that Vazquez is on the list due to his win over Marquez. I think you could put Marquez on the list at 10 and move Mosley up to 9 ... kick Winky out completely.

I'm arguing less against Marquez and more for Mosley. Mosley has dominated as of late. If you are going to rank Hatton at 12 then Mosley has to be ahead of him just based on the fights against Collazo.

Mosley has been anything but an over the hill or post prime fighter as of late. The last thing I want to hear if Cotto beats him is that he beat an over the hill fighter.

While we are at it, how can anyone who lost to Chris John be at #4. He beat an over the hill Barrera is the only thing he has done in the last couple of years. A Barrera that had all sorts of problems with a very limited Rocky Juarez.

I can get behind replacing Juan Manuel on the list and including Rafael.

Mike you make a good point about Winky not being on that list. He's 1-1-1 in his last three fights and has not performed well against a name opponent as of late.

Interesting that you bring up Chris John. He's #4 p4p on the BoxRec list and that just proves that their ratings system sucks. John has faced suspect opposition in Indonesia and his only really good win was against JMM.

I have no problem with Juan Manuel being on the list but he should be much lower than #4.

I agree he should be lower if not off ... IMO he is the lower of the two brothers. I had the Pac Man fight 6-6 with the first round correctly a 10-6 round. IMO he clearly lost the fight. He knew it too turning down the rematch.

As much as I love Wlad I put Hatton above him too.
