Help Please

I am trying to create a universe. I have about 2000 fighters that I have downloaded, most of them don't have HT, WT, and reach added in yet, in addition I would like to change or delete most of their birthdays. Is there any easier way than simply going fighter to fighter 2000 times and editing all these things manually. Is there any kind of way to edit the actuall DB outside of the game to save my self some time?

No easier way, althought none of those are important to the sim.

I actually did 700 fighters a few years ago went through gave them HT, WT, reach, trainers, cut men. It took me forever. I wanted to do something with the game again but the amount of work just seems daunting. TBCB is an interesting game, but can anyone tell me the rationale behind making it so difficult to edit and create fighters. By difficult I mean time consuming.

I really don't think it is. I think it is a lot easier then having to deal with a database editor but to each their own.

For anyone who has done editing in Baseball Mogul, TBCB is very time-consuming to edit.

For those unfamiliar with it, Mogul has .xls files (or .csv I guess, esstentially the same thing) . .batting.csv, pitching.csv and fielding .csv. Every player has one line, each stat has a column, and you can edit the projections of every player say in hitting projections in one file (ditto for pitching and fielding). It's very easy.

I'd love a similar set-up for TBCB. Every fighter's name in column A down the left of the spreadsheet with column headers like CFB, CFS, HP, PL, etc. That would be darn near perfect.

I would like that idea. I know that I am one person that wanted to see mass changing capabilities instead of having to go in individually to change stats. I believe there were others that felt the same way. The one problem that would really be solved is the imported percentage points bug that I have to deal with each time I import a created fighter file into my universe. This idea would allow me to just highlight, mark or select all the files that I just imported at one time so that I could adjust the pp from 1000 to 200 or zero. I am with Thunder on this one.

I could learn to deal with a database as long as it was easy to export and upload into an excel spreadsheet.

Fair enough. In BBM, you can do either. But changes on the player screen do not become his default if you start a new game. You need to go to the spreadsheet to do that.

If TBCB were coded with this "read from spreadsheet" concept, perhaps you would be able to "export" your changes to your personal default file.

I have very little knowledge of coding and don't know if this is possible without a ton of time.
