LOL .... I'm alright with Marie winning the whole thing .. she has been fun and really has the showmanship down pat ... I would think just on Dancing .. Mel B. wins.

If Marie wins, Kenny Mayne needs to do a "Blackeye of Dancing" story, no way is she the best dancer. They might need to make the judges scores count for 75%.

BTW, I heard Donnie on a syndicated radio show out of Charlotte driving into work today. Is that guy in love with himself or what?

He seems to be more full of himself now than I ever recall.

Wink

Well guys, what did you think of last nights show ? I was slightly surprised
by the results, but I also think they danced very well in the last few weeks.

So kudo's to Helio and Julianne.

I was just glad either Helio or Mel won.

Marie really got on my nerves with her "performance" on Monday night. Her 1st dance was pretty simple & safe & that 2nd doll dance was just terrible! The fact she thought it was so good & argued with the head Brit judge seemed out of line too. She also hyped her doll line enough.

Last night I liked it when Marie mentioned her age again & the host said: "You're in your 70's, right?" - that was classic!

She also said she's doing it for all single mothers - like with her fame & fortune she can really relate to most single mothers.

She also seemed SO surprised she only received 8's for her scores - I think she thinks she really was the best dancer & should have won, talk about an ego!

I didn't see that with Marie at all ... I love her now. She was the most entertaining throughout. She wasn't the best though, that was Sabrina. Next best was Mel.

Last night proved a woman will never win this show again. Stacy Keibler should have won and a woman should have won this year.

Helio is a great guy though and I can't complain with Julianna getting her second in a row.

Ready for the next season now. Too bad they aren't doing 2 this year like they did last year (or at least I assume they aren't with the whole Carrie vs. Bruno thing).

Didn't see that at all with Marie? Did I write something that wasn't true?

You really do love her, LOL.

Because nobody I talked to after Monday's show liked her performance.

I saw on web site headlines asked if she blew it? Local radio shows were panning her too.

I agree about Sabrina & Mel but I heard some people thought since they had some dance training, it wasn't fair & that's why they didn't get the votes.

I thought Stacy would win that year too but recall that final "safe" dance of hers & Drew had that cowboy routine where he jumped over Cheryl's head? Stacy was the better dancer all season but when it came down to one dance on the final night, he was better that night.

And they'll have 2 shows next year, just like this year. The Carrie Ann/Bruno shows starts in Jan. but DWTS is back in March & then I'm sure back in Sept. 2008.

The Aussie version of the show finished this week also. They are really stupid over here in that the final episode is the top two dancers. With the way they do the scoring it means that the scores that each dnacer gets in the final don't matter because whoever gets the public vote wins.

Good I hadn't heard they would be back in March. I thought Marie did the same thing she did every week. Danced okay but entertained. I didn't feel any kind of attitude from her. She definitely wasn't Jane Seymour like.

I thought the doll thing was cute, esp. since that is how she makes her living now. The problem with both her and Mel Monday night is they took freestyle too literally. Neither put in any ballroom moves. Actually it is Jonathan and Max's fault, they should have known better. Helio used ballroom moves along with other moves, like Drew did three seasons ago.

Marie had been panned all year long so the media panning her after Monday night wasn't unusual.

I'd like to know how they do the scores here. See if it is truely 50/50

Well, you're right about Marie being the same but when she said "I'm not buying it!" after Len said it wasn't her best performance, I saw a flash of anger on her face & in her tone of voice. She joked more in the past when commenting to the judges.

The reason I thought the doll routine was weak was because it seemed like she could dance poorly as part of the bit, in effect, because she wasn't fully wound up. I would have preferred her to be wound up & then ran out of gas @ the end. She was too stiff legged most of the dance for my & apparently the judge's taste. I thought Len nailed it when he said it was a case where something you think will be good isn't when it's done on stage.

Good point about the freestyle too literally.

BTW, did you hear Helio's engagement is now OFF!

Rumor has it, he & Julianne might be an item. If true, that would be 3 hook-ups at least. Sabrina & her guy & Mario & the Urkrainian.

Wonder how long it is before some male celeb complains that all the hot dancers are now taken & he gets nothing but being kicked off too early from the show?

Despite the fact that Drew danced well as Hopalong Cassidy, I also thought
Stacy was the deserving winner, but I don't have a problem with Helio winning because as we all know public voting is what carries the day.

There were the same rumors about Julianne and Apollo last year.

I'm aware of that, and that never really proved to be true did it ?, and there
is a fifteen year age difference which as you get older is not a big deal, but
Julianne is only 18.

OK I was wrong, Julianne is 19, and Helio is 32, but as I was saying there may be nothing to it.

I heard today she's come out & said they're just friends, who knows. I'm sure Helio dancing with such a hot woman didn't make his then fiance feel that good.

BTW Mike, looks like you're not the only one to take dance lessons. Yesterday a secretary across the hall asked if I danced? I asked if it was related to DWTS? She said no, she needed a partner for a ballroom dancing class & said I looked like a dancer (maybe that was a shot?). I almost asked about her husband but noticed no ring on her left hand.

I'm not sure "you look like a dancer" is a good thing or not. Kelly and I still haven't taken the lessons. I just went back to my route sales job and dropped 15 lbs in two weeks. If I can get another 30 off then we will probably go in Feb. or so.

I want to be in somewhat decent shape before I try it.

LOL, yeah when she said it, I sort of laughed. She said it was because I looked fit.

Yeah, we'll see if it takes place? If it's like a # of other classes (investment mostly) I've signed up for lately, they've been canceled.

If it happens, will be interesting to see the other women in there, I'm guessing they'll probably be older. Wendy's the woman who asked me & she's sort of a pretty blonde, one of the reasons I agreed.

I went out dancing for the first time in two years last week during the
Grey Cup festival, and it felt great to get out there again, and I also have to
get in better shape, because it's not what you weigh at my age, but where
it moves to that makes the difference.

I should be able to get to 148- 150 and feel more comfortable.

Remember, I'm just a little fella.LOL To put it into perspective when I am in
top shape I more resemble a young Wilfred Benitez, but at the moment I resemble a scaled down version of Tim Witherspoon.LOL
