Problems with rating records everytime I quit and reopen game.

Every time I close my tbcb2 game program and quit, and then turn my computer back on and open the game, it takes longer and longer because the program is "compacting rating records which may take a few minutes." Every single time this happens the program adds two more rating records which are just the same as the others. So, the last time I closed the game I had three identical records and now that I restarted the program, I have five identical records. Can somebody tell me if they are having the same problems and what can I do to solve this problem? Thanks.

Yikes, I have never seen that happen.

Be sure that you have a back up copy of your data folders in case something of a corrupting / crashing nature happens.

You could try setting those saved files aside, un-installing the program and re-downloading and installing it. If the problem was not in the data folder itself, you should be able to dump the db folder back into the right place and be on your merry way. I've down that to resolve odd things in the past (although not in recent memory).

When you say "rating records", what do you mean exactly?

I mean the actual rating records found on the top of the screen after you click on the ratings tab (4th tab). The RR's that you can set the default, has the title/source/career/division/rat/sty/def/CS adj. Each time I quit the game and turn off the computer, then turn the computer back on and start the tbcb2 program/game, the game takes longer to open and the bottom scroll says that "rating records are being compacted and may take a few minutes." It is actually not compacting but multiplying.

I am also having problems because my universe's database is being altered. For example, I am using the Ezzard Charles HW rating record of "10" as my default file and it keeps getting changed to the LHW rr of "13". Same with all the fighters such as James Toney, Michael Spinks, Roy Jones Jr, etc. All these fighters had the lower rating records selected as default based on their performance as HW's, but their files are automatically defaulted back to the rating records of their main division. This shouldnt be happening, and never happened before. Everytime I close down the game and turn off the comp, then restart, I have to go back and adjust all these rr before I start a fight.

Cue Rod Serling. Wow. That is really weird. When I get back home I'll have to check my game. Thanks for the tip-off. I hope Andreas or someone else can help you out. Wonder if anyone else in the community has experienced any of this stuff?
