Regina Halmich
Halmich is to defend her title for the 45th time tonight in what is expected to be her last bout. She is an all-time great.

It's too bad that she has fought primarily only in Germany and is little known in the the US.

Regina Halmich will be remembered as one of the top 5-10 p4p female boxers of all time. I really wanted to see her face Susi Kentikian but it was pretty clear that she wanted to end her career on a positive note.
Halmich will more than likely win a wide UD against Shmoulefeld Finer to cap off a HOF career. Last edited by a87star : 11-30-2007 at 04:06 PM. |

IMO Halmich lost the first fight with Elena Reid but the judges ruled it a draw. Also, there were a few other fights where she got the benefit of "hometown" scoring. |
