Anyone know how to use sopcast?
I've downloaded it in the hope that I'll be able to watch Hatton-Mayweather on it but I'm getting nothing from the channel it's supposed to be on. This is the second time I've tried to use sopcast. the first was during last season's NBA Playoffs when I wanted to watch the Warrios-Mavs series. Couldn't get anything that time, either. Except once I was able to watch NBA TV which just kept on repeating post game interviews with Don Nelson or Avery Johnson.
I'm not one to criticise but this sopcast thing seems pretty crap, IMO. I don't know what it is I'm doing wrong and I can't get onto their forum either to ask for help. |

If you have a fast internet connection you go always just go to World Boxing Archive and download the fight using Bittorrent.

Sopcast... hrmmm... I have it but I never use it because I found a better alternative.
I live in China at the moment, so my ability to watch US sporting events is somewhat limited. I am a huge NFL/NCAA fan - and of course, they don't broadcast any football here. I found this site, which live streams broadcasts for major sporting events across world (including many NFL/NCAA games each weekend and PPV events). Some of them link to sopcast... but, you don't have to download the sopcast program. http://www.channelsurfing.net/ They had five links up for the hatton/mayweather fight. When I tried them, three of them were really slow, one was in Spanish, and one got a little choppy at times buffering... but it was watchable. The one link that was watchable wasn't a sopcast link either - it was some TV station in the UK. I don't know if it was my internet connection (which, in China, is pretty slow) or if it was because so many people were hitting the links trying to watch the fight for free. Don't know... but I will say that watching the NFL/NCAA games every weekend on this site works really well. The links for the fight won't be up anymore, though. It's just live feeds, so if you missed the fight, you'll have to find it elsewhere. Take Romdawg's advice and download it from a torrent. |
