Fighter skins
Does anyone know where I might find a new set of fighter skins (animations)?
I just upgraded to v2.5 and was hoping there might be some changes in that area but obviously that didn't happen. I do have the black and white sixties skins that someone made a few years ago and was wondering if there's might be other homemade skins available for download somewhere. I showed TB2.5 to a neighbor yesterday and the first question out of his mouth after I demonstrated with a fight between Ali and Klitschko was "why is Klitschko black?" Regardless of all the improvements and the thousands of fighters he couldn't get past the inaccurate graphics. Makes me wonder how many sales are lost for that reason? |

I couldn't agree more - This is one of the most silly (ridiculous) PC premised flaws in TBCB - The game way back in the day (TF-99 and prior) all had correctly colored (as much as can be reasonably expected) options for fighters.
The top-down version (IMO) was the best versoin - With antimated fighters (correctly colored) moved around the ring - That having the option to make fighters whatever color one wants; still isn't included in TBCB is quite foolishness. I love TBCB either way.....and perhaps I'm being a little harsh here....But for crying out loud it is 2008......and the reality that I had correctly colored fighters way back in the day with Haffner games.. (mid 90s)....It does rub me the wrong way......Espeically if it is for BS PC reasons.... And I am only speaking to this issue directly - All the work and advancements that have come to TBCB (the game we know) are incredible and greatly appreciated. I am a huge fan of TBCB. It is the best true boxing Sim out there....bar none. Last edited by meade95 : 02-01-2008 at 02:22 PM. |

It honestly doesn't bother me the way it is now. I understand what you are saying but i do not play the game to see the fighters act out the commentary. I am more interested that the game play is solid and that the new features within the game work the way they are supposed to. Not being a programmer i have no idea what would be involved in changing this.

I was hoping that this version might have the skin changes but as usual in this department i was disappointed
I do of course realize there are good reasons why this cant be done though. Its such a shame because it does in some way spoil the look of the finished product and there is no hiding it, its in your face all the time To a major games magazine reviewing our product it could come across as an unfinished or rushed release and of course would reflect there overall score for the game. My guess is that again they would give it about 65%. Us die hard boxing lovers can live with this but they dont have to and wont. Please dont think i am being negative because its a fact and something we cant just brush aside. My personal feelings on the game is its much improved and makes running a universe so much easier. Of course now its released and hundred's playing it like any game bugs will come to the surface. Not to big a problem because i am sure knowing Andreas and the guys as i do that given a little time just like the last version most bugs will get sorted. Anyone have a copy or a link to the black and white fighter skins mod i would like to try it out guys. |

Three New Skins
I've been playing around with three new skins which I just sent to Mark at cornerwork.
They are: Zarate-Zamora (Color) Robinson-Turpin (B&W) Jofre-Medel (B&W)
