Graphics ?

One big question for me. I understand the the skins haven't changed so we can't choose between black and white fighters, but more importantly for me, is, do the boxers finally actually through punches as they are described in the commentary. When it says right cross, is it a right hand? when it says left hook, is it a left hand shown in the fight graphics. This drove me nuts in the past version. It was backwords about 90% of the time. It can't have been that difficult a fix. Don't ask me why this is so important to me, but it is. I guess it is just a a real basic thing that drove me crazy.

It is still a text-based sim rather than a video game and the graphics have not changed.

If interested, I created three 50s skins:Black vs Black; Black vs White; and, White vs White. I simply copy and paste to the animation folder. Samples below.

No! The graphics are copy and paste. If I was running Wlad against a white fighter I would copy the white vs white graphic and paste it in the animation folder. If I was running a black vs black, etc I simply copy and paste. It's not ideal, but the copy and paste only takes seconds to do.

Here are three examples:

Hello brother Dan.
Nice to sort of meet again
I would much sooner have these still black and white pics in my game rather then the moving wrong colours we have now, yours look classy. In fact they stand out all the more for being in black and white. Its only a pity the computer cant do the work for you. Anyway i never even look at the pics because i concentrate on reading and following the fight.

I know i go on and on about the pics we have now in the game, but i look at the game from a perspective buyers point of view rather then my own. You have to do this if your trying to sell anything to the public.

I recently read a posting on here where a guy was showing the game to his friend and the first thing his friend said is "Why is Vlad a black fighter in the game"
Cheers My Friend
Danny

PS
The best pics to have might be ones that dont show to much of the fighters face. Not well known fighters might even be better still

I think a more subtle approach, and I may do this myself, is make the images silhouettes. No issue then. If I ever get around to reinstalling Paintshop I'll have a fiddle and see what I can come up with.

I took the default pics and made them greyscale with Paintshop. Now they are two different shades of grey.

There was also Bonedwarf's Oil and Pencil fight images which I use extensively. They should be on Cornerwork still.
