Exclamation Title Bout Championship Boxing Patch #1 released!

Dear Boxing Fans,

18 days after the release of TB 2.5 we release the first patch today! The following changes have been made and are all tested by the beta team:

- removed demo mode limitations
- when importing a TB2 database the biographies are copyied into the user notes. The biographies from the online database are being used as fighter biographies.
- fixed: when importing TB2 databases the name files and the rfgdata file have not been created
- added warning messages if name files or rfgdata file could not be found or opened
- fixed: bug in rating method
- fixed: display bug with long lines in pulldown lists
- fixed: winning/losing percentage now calculated like 10-0-2 = .917
- fixed: bugs in "edit ranking" function
- fixed: crash when opening fighter record as XML file
- fixed bug in organization rankings method
- fixed bug in venues "export to pool" function
- fixed bug which occured sometimes when deleting a nation
- updated judges, venues, fighters and commentary text
- fixed auto-aging / RFG bug (RFG fighters proceeded to next career stage after first fight)

Download the new setup file from here:

http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/tb/tb2.5setup.exe

Start the setup file and install TB 2.5 right on top of your current TB 2.5 installation.

When you open a database which has been imported from TB2 and then open the Random Fighter Generator (RFG), you might get an error message "Name files are missing" or "RFG data files are missing". In that case, do the following:

- close TB 2.5
- open "My Computer" and navigate to /My Documents/OOTP Developments/TB 2.5/Data/DefaultData
- right-lcik at the folder /Names and select "Copy"
- navigate to the folder /My Documents/OOTP Developments/TB 2.5/Data/SavedGames/<Name of your database> and paste the /Names folder into it
- then go back to the /DefaultData folder and copy the folder /RandomFighterGenerator into your database folder the same way

Have fun!

Maybe I have done something wrong but after running the installer my game will no longer load. It opens up to a white screen and does nothing else past that. Can anyone help?

Okay, it started working again. It just took it a while to load up.

Andreas
Thank you.
Knowing you i can imagine the time and work you put in to get this out. Also thanks to the beta testers who tested it. Am i correct in thinking that this download is the full game with the patch included. The reason i ask this is i had to uninstall version 2.5, and have not as yet put it back on.

I have had no problems with anything. Even the RFG works fine.

Ok. I'm up and installed to 2.5.25 -

Simply DL to my desktop and ran (opened) the 2.5 patch from there - In loaded itself - (required one restart of the game to install fully).

I have a question though - In the fighters tab - When I go to say my newly formed Strawweight division - I have fighters that appear ranked higher....than fighters who have actually fought and won -

All fighters in my DB/UNI have records (say 23-2-1) to start out with (depending on where they were in their careers when they enter my UNI).

Just curious - How can a guy who hasn't actually fought (simmed) in my UNI...have a higher ranking than a fighter who has fought and won a simmed fight within the UNI?

If they have more fights than the "minimum number of fights for getting ranked" setting in the database options requires, they will be ranked. The ranking system uses a certain starting value which will automatically be used for these manually added fighters. Some of your fighters who actually fought but lost might have a lower ranking value. So they get ranked below your manually added fighters.
You can got to the statistics screen of a fighter and click the arrow next to the word "Record" to edit the rank. Set it to 9999 and the fighter will be at the end of the ranking automatically.

KO Percentage still off

- fixed: winning/losing percentage now calculated like 10-0-2 = .917

But, the KO % is still off. I once again tried different ways to determine how the current percentage is calculated, but to no avail.

And it is not calculating win/loss percentage correctly in the post-fight section.
