Mesi & Deep Six heading to RI

According to boxrec.com, both Baby Joe Mesi and Deep Six Estrada will be fighting on an ESPN2 card on Friday April 4th @ the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, RI.

Joe Mesi 36-0-0 (29) vs. Terry Smith 30-4-1 (18)

Jason Estrada 11-1-0 (2) vs. Lance Whitaker 32-4-1 (27)

Smith has lost his last 2 fights against Robert Hawkins and Rob Calloway, but he should be the toughest test for Mesi so far in his comeback.

As for Deep Six, hopefully this will be the end of the line for him. At 6'8", "Mount" Whitaker will make him look like a midget. I really don't see Estrada having enough power to stop Whitaker unless the mountain comes in really out of shape and disinterested.

No word on the rest of the card (if any)

I'll wait a couple of more weeks before I decide if I want to make a road trip out to RI.

Estrada's opponent will be of substantialy less stature by fight night.
