Klitschko-Ibragimov My two Cents

Finally watched the fight. At the end neither guy looked like he'd been in a scrap. You'd think Klitschko had been warned by Putin not to win too impressively. I noticed in the last round, after all those left jabs to the face, when you'd think Klitschko could hit Ibragimov with a right with his eyes closed, he threw a jab, followed by a big right smash and missed by a foot. I found that mildly surprising.

Didn't like all that confusing talk afterwards about Vitali fighting for and maybe winning one of the belts. Sounds like the Williams girls in tennis, but I think they played against each other. I don't see Wlad fighting Vitali.

Noticed in the wrap-up by Lampley that The Ring Magazine Championship never came up. Looks to me if Samuel Peter beats Oleg Maskaev, and Wladimir Klitschko beats Peter, The Ring's recognition will go to Klitschko. If that means anything now with the change of ownership.

Yeah I get the feeling too that GBP will mess up the Ring Ratings somehow.

Feel the same way. Think that the ratings may become tainted, and not as impartial as in times past.

Unless they continue to favor Wlad. (LOL!) And if they crown him as official champ, then all will be forgiven!

In the past they declared Holmes their champion when Mike Weaver KO'd Big John Tate, as Holmes had previously beaten Weaver. I could see the same logic in naming Klitschko their champion, although I still think Ruslan Chagaev is better and should be ranked higher than Samuel Peter.
