8 or 10 ounce gloves?

I read recently that Nevada will allow 8 ounce gloves for fights @ 147 lbs again. Does anyone know if they wore 8 or 10 ounce gloves in the 1st Floyd/Oscar fight? Will be interesting to see if the rematch is @ 147 for Floyd's WBC title?

I'm sorry I can't answer your questions, but I offer up a question of my own: What effect do different weight gloves have? Less weight = quicker hand speed but less power? Perhaps this can be implemented in the RPG version when negotiating contracts. Ring size as a negotiable factor would be cool too. Smaller ring-size = more CF versus boxers, where larger ring-size = more CF versus sluggers. Or something.

From what I read/heard, big punchers like the smaller gloves (less padding) so they think they have a better chance to hurt or knock the other guy out. I would think that would be Oscar's best bet, doubt he can outbox Floyd but even landing a big enough shot to hurt the ever elusive Floyd seems remote @ best.
