Also, according to Fightnews.com, Peter might take an interim fight against Andrew Golota (yes, that Andrew Golota) while waiting for Klitschko to get hurt again. If anybody needs a tune-up fight before facing the #2 heavyweight contender, it's Klitschko, but from Peters' standpoint the him v. Klitschko fight will probably never happen anyway so it's good to have a backup plan.

Well if Golota fights like he did against Mollo the fight with Klitschko might be off due to Peter losing ...
Yeah part of the deal was that Peter gets a tune-up as long as it is done before July 31st. |

Peter will beat Golota....the foul pole freaks out when he faces someone that can really punch. Mollo has a good punch but not nearly on the level as Peter. I was thinking that Meehan might get a shot at Peter.

As big of a Klitschko fanboy as I am, I have serious doubts that Vitalis' fight with Peter will ever materialize. The huge layoff, accompanied by big bros' fledgling political career and tendency to get hurt in training camp are rather large contributing factors IMO.
Vitali Klitschko has nothing to prove. He retired as heavyweight champ of the world, and with all the surgeries he's endured to repair his aging frame, it will be extremely difficult to shake off the ring rust and return to the level he fought at 4-5 years ago. That being said, if this thing does happen (I give it about a 1 in 5 chance), I'll be rooting for VK to stop Peter around the 8th.
