Witter/Bradley (spoiler)
Timothy Bradley won a split decision against Juinor Witter tonight in Nottingham. Scores were 112-115, 114-113, 114-113.
Bradley showed a lot tonight. He fought the fight of his life in hostile territory against a tough customer in Witter. There were a lot of tough rounds to score. I thought Bradley took it 115-112. |

Kent, I agree that there were a lot of tough rounds to score, and also had Bradley winning
115-113. Just this morning I had this fight in my universe and Witter came out on top by scores of 113-111,113-111 and 113-112 for Witter and there were 6 knockdowns in the fight with Witter being saved by the bell in the final round. Witter had scored 4 knockdowns. Greg

To be honest........I never thought much about Bradley as a fighter but he showed so much resolve and toughness that's its hard not to root for him.
I can't see too many fighters wanting to step into the ring with Bradley. He could easily outbox most of the top JWW's......including Hatton. |

There are a lot of fighters over the history of time unless they were able to impose their will on you they become ineffective, and I'm sure we can all name many of them if we think about it. Sometimes the referee can be a factor also, if they let one fighter get away with certain things during a fight.
Bradley did look good, and I hope he does well in the future. Greg

Congrats to England for not screwing Bradley out of the win ... when they said it was a SD I immediately thought "oh no here we go again" While there were a lot of close rounds it was pretty clear that Bradley had won convincingly ... not sure how one judge saw 8 rounds for Witter.
That said ... Witter calling out Hatton all these years is a joke ... Hatton (as overrated as I think he is) would have destroyed Witter. With Froch ... who knows ... he obviously can punch but he is slow and telegraphs his punches from a mile away ... also he gets hit a lot. I don't see him beating most of the guys listed ahead of him in Ring Magazine. |

I think Bradley could conceivably beat Hatton quite soundly. Could definitely see "Hitman" getting stopped on cuts or quitting on his stool. IMO not too many JWW's will be willing to face Bradley. He's very hard to hit with a clean shot and his hand speed is unreal.
Froch will be dismantled the first time he faces a good fighter. He can punch but he's slow and lacks defense. |

May I join you on the bandwagon? If i'm Bradley and Hatton looks unimpressive against Lazcano.......i'd target him. At this point it wouldn't matter where the fight took place......Bradley wins.

They are trying to set up a Hatton v Paulie Mag fight for this fall in NYC.

Hatton will eat Paulie alive. Paulie is a nice boxer and did a good job against Cotto (didn't get stopped) but Hatton will maul him.

I think he gets caught up in trying to prove he is tough too much. He doesn't have the punch to make people back up so they don't. Speaking of Paulie ... why the heck is he fighting N'dou again? He won that fight like 120-107 didn't he?

I agree with you all that Bradley looked impressive but saying he could beat Hatton quite soundly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always felt that Witter was over rated and he isn't in the same league as Hatton. I don't think Bradley has the defensive skills to keep Ricky at bay for 12 rounds. And I couldn't ever see Hatton quit on his stool. We may rate him a little too highly over here but one thing he wouldn't do is quit. I think Froch is an interesting one - he can punch but sometimes its like watching him in slow motion and I think he'll be found out as he moves up in class |
