Thumbs down Virus Alert!! Trojan Horse Injector.l

I am getting this alert from my AVG anti-virus software every time I try to play TBCB 2.5 I notice that someone on the baseball(OOTP)board has the same problem and he said that the problem is with the e license or something of that nature. His solution is to go to the resident shield exceptions and use the C: Windows on exception. It is risky from what I gather. I know nothing about how these virus work or why that move that allows the game to load is "risky". Does anyone else have this problem? Know a permanent solution..I have tried using my heal, ignore and such to no avail but am afraid to delete because the file affected is the .exe startup from what I gather. Argghhhhhh!

Hugh, when I turn on my computer sometimes I also get a similar message in
my spyware antivirus program.

Same thing happened to me using AVG. AVG is a free anti virus and is rather effective but I had to delete it from my computer and go with Norton...yikes!

Was AVG the problem?? I have used AVG for almost 3 years and have never had one single problem until now. Really baffled, the weird thing is how little information there is on this trojan. I found only the OOTP 8 link and one other. I checked various virus encyclopedias and nothing. Nothing frustrates me more than computer problems. I can run Title Bout by using the exceptions still..just knowing there is a Trojan on my PC really eats at me.

I have always had great success with AVG but if it is the problem....away she will go. I tried trojan remover and several other anti-spyware/virus scans and fixes..to no avail. Sucks.

Something similar happened to me once with another program. Something with the virus definition file for AVG. How long has this been happening for you? They are usually very fast at getting fixes out when something like this happens.

Just a day or so ago. I love AVG..it has done great by me..no problems in close to 3 years of use.

I could remove it by force with my trojan remover but I am afraid it will screw everything up. I have talked to some that say it isnt that bad of a virus and others say it will mess up if I remove. So I am going to leave her alone until I can get a fix. Yeah, hopefully they will issue a fix soon.

It's an AVG problem. It's affecting all eLicense games. I wouldn't advise removing/healing the file unless you're sure you know where a replacement would go.

This happens from time to time and with every virus scanner. They are looking for parts of code which are typical for a certain virus, and sometimes they find the same part of code (bytes) in something different. Can happen after each update of the virus definition database.

Thanks for the info guys. I suppose I will just give them a few days for a fix. Good to know because it popped up on another companies license as well. Appreciate the replies. I am probably average when it comes to basic computer knowledge..but virus and programming...nah...lost totally.
