Long time PacMan fan here.......Great job last night.....

But the run ends if he fights Hatton - Hatton will stop him inside of 10 rounds. PacMan is fast, but he ain't PBF fast.....and he isn't close to him defensively....... Pressure can stop speed...... Hatton's pressure will break PacMan down.....

I completely disagree (what a surprise huh) ... Diaz is a pressure fighter and he couldn't get close to Manny. While Ricky maybe faster than Diaz, I think Diaz is tougher and has better defense. Pac Man would cut him up and stop him inside 5 or 6 IMO.

Lorenzo will not be awarded the WBC interim title based on that entire mess last night. That situation shows why boxing continually suffers black eyes.

That result should be changed to a ND based on the incompetance of "Unfair" and "Indesicive" Joe Blowhard.

Meanwhile all the ringside officials including the doc should be fired for letting the guy bleed out in the corner ... did you see the blood pooling under his head?

Diaz is not in the same class as Hatton in terms of a pressure fighter, strength or fighting rough (once inside). Hatton will beat PacMan up......Roughly so, wear him down and stop him....PacMan is fast offensively (not defensively)... You watch (if the fight comes off). A PacMan fight will be made to order for Hatton at this point in his career....... It will make Hatton look great...

Also Mike.....Did you get my private mail? (Regarding Andreas and getting me my order ID info).

While Lorenzo was bleeding like a pig.........Blowhard and the Nevada Boxing Commission were all huddled up for about ten minutes deciding whether it was a DQ or TKO. IMO it shouldn't have taken that long to decide the result of the fight and it's up to ref to make that choice instead of conferring with people on the other side of the ring that probably didn't even have a good look at what happened.

I got the impression they were all getting their stories straight for the media so they can try and save face. No wonder Oscar can buy judges/refs/commission off so easily.......their all buffoons.

Of course I also think Hatton is shot at this point in his career ... I forwarded it on to Andreas but I haven't heard from him in a few days.

Is Hatton in the same class as Hatton now though? I see your point re: Hatton v. Pac Man 3 years ago but this is a guy who looked completely demoralized vs. Floyd, kinda sucked in his return match, and is notorious for blowing up between fights. I have serious doubts he can keep up the poor attention to conditioning and still be an elite fighter. And I have serious doubts he's ever going to get the conditioning in check.

I think I'd actually rather see a Pac Man / ODLH match now. Granted that Oscar fights so rarely that you never have any idea whether he's done or just rusty.

A blown-up FW (who understand was beat up at LW by Morales the first time)...is made to order for a fighter like Hatton at 140 -

Granted, as in all fights, that depends on if said fighter comes in, in shape - But lets also be clear.....Hatton put a fight on PBF.....Sure PBF beat him, stopped him, but PBF would have beaten every other fighter on the planet from 140-154 that night....... Hatton was beating him for the first 6 rounds....

Just double-checking . . . you do mean Floyd Mayweather and Ricky Hatton, don't you?

In my eyes Manny has made atypical strides from age 27-29, esp. for a guy who started fighting at 16 . . . I'd like his chances against Hatton, even if he was outweighed on fight night by 10 pounds

Sure - Because Manny's gameness and speed won him some rounds - But make no mistake Morales beat him up that night...... When it was over, most (if not all) knew who had won the fight.....

To Manny's credit he came back and took care of business in their rematches.....(aged Morales or not)...

I see Manny as made to order for Hatton.....and I bet it happens.....the $$ is there for it (for both guys most likely). Though, it isn't a "U.S." fight....which could hurt the gate some....... But I think Manny's people are reading the press clippings (thinking Diaz was much better than he is) and will likely take the jump and risk up to 140. Where Hatton will stop Manny's incredible run..... Via TKO.

As for the talk of Manny Vs Valero........Not going to happen. I would love to see it.....But just no way it comes off. No money in it for Manny (compared to other fights) and lots of risk...... (though I think Manny would stop him inside of 10).

For the first 5 rounds (really) Hatton was fighting the type of fight it would take to beat PBF (outside of landing a Tommy Hearn's type right hand).....Yes, the first 6 rounds of that fight were very competitive......with Hatton having the edge after 5 rounds (IMO). Without a doubt...

Not sure what fight you were watching that night ... Hatton may have taken a round or two early but he wasn't beating PBF after 6 ... at best it was 4 rounds to 2 for PBF. PBF is notoriously a slow starter and if that was the best Hatton could do in the early rounds then not so great.

Hatton leads with his face way way too much. He gets cut way too easy and IMO is basically a shot fighter now. I think Manny takes him out inside of 6 ... if Manny hits him with the shots he was hitting Diaz with in the first two rounds it is over. Diaz has a far better beard then Hatton.

I thought Manny was biting off too much stepping up to LW but he looked like a natural in there. He and Hatton are basically the same size and leading up to the fight Hatton will have to work like a dog just to make weight, while Manny can just work on the fight.

I hope the Vegas guys think like Meade does because I will make a killing on it if they do. The fight will happen in the states .... no way does Manny go to Hatton's hometown for the fight.

They are talking Manny vs. Valero in Texas.

What makes you think Diaz has a better chin than Hatton? Diaz has been down several times in his career........I don't think he ever fought anyone who hit as hard as Tszyu either? Diaz is (was) the weakest of all the LW top guys - His major win is Vs a completely faded and 2 divisions above his best E. Morales (that is just a reality).

Hell.....Don't worry about Vegas (because the fight will be a pick'em there) I'll take your money directly........ Just as Tyson would have always been made to order for Holyfield......Manny moving up to 140 and fighting someone like Hatton is no different. Hatton will abuse and stop Manny.....

And I just see no way there is a Valero Vs Manny fighting taking place - Valero has a title at 130......he will defend there...... Manny likely isn't moving back down....and there is all risk ...with very little upset to defending Vs Valero at 135...... (Manny's chin is one of his vaulnerable spots). Though I still believe Manny would stop Valero in a great shootout...

I'd like to see Manny Vs JMM III -

I liked Ricky Hatton. He was good for boxing. But fighters like Hatton, Barry McGuigan, Paul Hodkinson - their end seems to come all of a sudden. The prime Ricky Hatton that beat Kostya Tszyu is gone. This version is vulnerable, especially if Manny hits and moves. Manny is our generation's version of Henry Armstrong who started at Featherweight and all the up to and almost the Middleweight Title - losing a disputed decision against Ceferino Garcia.
