update fighters? How?
I want to update these 2 fighters but don't know how.
Joe Calzaghe and Kellie Pavlik. They are rated a 7 and a 6 and want to give them higher ratings. I dont know how to do this and i also am not sure on what rating i should give them. Any help please? Thanks. |

I learned by accident that if you tweak a fighter and then update the database, you will overwrite your tweaked ratings.
Now, I make a copy of the fighter and save the ratings name as "DreamFights" so I can separate the fighters that I create and modify from the rankings that are downloaded from the OOTP database. I still like creating my own fighters from old Boxing magazine articles and fight accounts. The downloaded updates are great, though. It's great to have both available. Back in the day, we'd have to wait for card sets to be printed and made available. I think the card set from 82-83 was the first one that I remember counterpunching being introduced. This game has really developed nicely over the years. |

You are not kidding, that was a long wait for the next set of cards to be printed - more than a year in some cases. I think there was a total of 5 sets in all. |

I believe if you uncheck that, they will never be automatically updated

I think it will be easier for me (timewise) to stick with creating my own ratings/versions and keep them side by side with the downloaded ones. Rating fighters in TBCB II, changing ratings and downloading them has never been easier. It's worth buying version 2.5 just for that feature alone.
