I hope one of us hit the lottery so we can buy the rights to this game. I hate that it's been left in the basement so long.

I'm buying 3 tickets tomorrow.

[QUOTE=Cap;2818431]Today I was reading one guy's comments in another sports game forum. He was saying how he had recently played TB and it was almost exactly the same as the old Lance Hafner game! No idea which version of Title Bout he had tried. But this is what we're up against. No career mode (again, whatever that means) means no sale to some gamers. It's almost Catch-22. Andreas won't work on a role play because no one is buying Title Bout, and many won't buy Title Bout because it has no role play.

From what little I'm reading so far, it seems like people aren't buying Title Bout for one of two main reasons. Either they don't like boxing or they don't like a boxing game that won't run some kind of career for them. Someone like another Mike Tyson would draw in a lot of the former faction. Does anyone here see a future superstar coming out of the amatoors?

Cap as for a tyson like boxer here in the US no there isn't one USA Boxing is in horrible shape right now. Seems like this MMA is getting more and more attention as well. As for career mode in this game TECHINALLY there is one with the auto aging mode.

What boxing needs is MORE of these title tournaments like the one going on already and LESS of this marketing hype crapola from King and the other gabronies. Maybe cutting out a few divisions will help as well and the elimination of this alphabet soup leagues and title holders from bubba gump shrimp street that NO ONE cares about will go a long way. The glory days of the 70's are over.

But OOTP is this bread and butter and its ok i just hate baseball (roidball) and would love to see a good hockey sim like eastside hockey manager come back again. TB needs something but what it needs the most is interest in it. Its a great game and I have played the various versions on it it just needs more interest.

Cap also your poll on have you tried Title Bout is NOT getting the support under 100 votes 59 have 33 have not. That is NOT good survivability for any game let alone this one.

Infractions: 0/1 (1)
I resorted to playing WCBM again just the other night. I was downstairs half watching TV and was surprised to see it still on my laptop. I believe this game would've had some nice potential, but the developer gave up on it. I still enjoy playing it, but it's not a game I can sit for hours at a time and play.
I do like the Career Mode aspect of it and how you have to watch your finances, etc. I did buy the first version of Title Bout, but with no "real" career mode, I have no interest in the latest version. When I need a quick "boxing fix" I'll turn to WCBM.

How popular a sport is has nothing to do with how a game sells, trust me. I'm a Moderator on a EA Fight Night Round 4 site and the fans are buying the game no matter how bad the sport is doing. Many fans try to make boxing the way it should be in real life.

Many of the Fight Night Round 4 fans want what Title Bout Championship Boxing has to offer but in a 3D graphic styled game. I have turn many people on to TBCB.

Many people strayed away from TBCB because it seem like there's no more attention being giving to the game.

Yep i think the lack of interest on the actual developer definitely is a buzz kill for the game. The scheduler that Jade is working on will definitely help pick my interest back up but without some additional updating i find it hard to make a case for new fans trying TBCB out.

The scheduler is a good idea but seems a bit too complicated for my tastes. Still, thanks to Jade for the idea and the work done so far.

At this point the thing that would mean the most for me is a way to track fighter earnings. But I would welcome ANY type of update.

Poet yes that true but if you look its all EYE CANDY. EA is nothing but a eye candy for brain dead thumbalohics. TB at least makes you think a little bit but NA wants eye candy despite it being easy. They Madden football is eye candy but it is so easy to take ANY TEAM and go undefeated in multiple season. But yes since the Trunzos have bailed out there appears ot be a total lack of interest on it and thats SAD!

I don’t know why we just don’t turn this into an online thing? I mean if the developer has given up on this, why don’t we just make it an online thing where we all take a stable of fighters, and guide them to the top and someone neutral runs it and posts results, updates etc.., I mean you can upload the save regularly so everyone has a copy of the universe at all times.

Just an idea.

Well I would be willing to try this out, I mean I can run the universe, so I am the WBA and WBC all in one , no serious I can be the gamesmaster and all of us create a promotion and a stable and we would have the best universe created as its humans against humans and not left up to one user to run the universe.

If anyone is interested we would need to figure out a way of doing it.

After each fight, event, etc.. the universe can be uploaded so it can be downloaded so you always have the current state on your pc's.

Anyways, comments welcome.

So how would we handle scheduling and purses?

Could be a fun project. A possible host could be Dynasty Manager

We could also use the program Mike uses to show live fights from his LBA universe on line....that would be pretty cool as we could bet.

One way I have thought of in terms of signing fighters is a prestige system, where you get a starting amount of prestige points and use them to "bid" on your initial stable. You accrue more for wins by your fighter, money earned and titles won to sign fighters as the game progesses.

I tried the demo and liked it. But i spotted a numbers of typos/errors in the commentary: i'll buy the game if the typos are fixed or they change the file so i can edit it by myself.

It can't be edited by the user, but the database is being redone and a new version will be released early next year.

There is a thread on this in the troubleshooting forum "Text error on commentary"

Please add any feedback you have there if you would, never hurts to have an extra set of eyes.

I'm waiting on this too. Hopefully it comes out soon (maybe he'll have time to work on it over the holidays?), as I really just can't get a feel for scheduling within the game itself.

I would have interest in this. How would we age fighters, etc.? Would there be a program for determining who has to get a shot?

Also would there be a way to 'auto-run' someone's team once people quit, go on vacation, etc.?
