Is it going to be like OOTP in regards to watching a fight. Is there a text play by play of certain matches? Or do you just sim all fights? Thanks

rough idea
it will be a text description of the fight.
Imagine turning your radio on and hearing a fight being broadcast Round 6 Frazier boring in now throwing left and right hands to Louis head. Louis sidesteps and Ohhhh Noooo Frazier is caught by a perfect right cross from Louis. Frazier is in big trouble, he is again caught by a left hand from Louis. Frazier is down. The referee Tom Gosman picks up the count ------1 ------2 ------3 Something along them lines. but better :-) If you so wish a fight can be run through quick maybe in 5 sec |

Hey Pretecf
If i knew you was going say that i would have put a full fight round by round in instead of a few words. LOL What i would love to see in the future, is a voice commentary done, See what also made the fights exciting to listen to on radio, back in the old days. Was the change and mounting excitement in the voice of the commentator. Sounds kinda weird but you sort of leaned forward, as if to get closer to the radio, when some real action accured. In a text simulation its very hard to get that same feeling across. but i feel thats what you have to aim for. Try to make the guy playing the Game forget he is on a computer and really sitting at ringside watching a live fight. I am pretty confident Jim will aim for exactly that though. Careful, wild. If you keep this up, I can see John Madden and Al Michaels winding up with another payday.
On the other hand, boxing announcers do not make near as much as these two. It might be possible to get it done. But, you know that after 10 or 15 fights we are all going to turn it off anyway. It is the kind of gimmick addition that would happen if Jim sold out to EA Sports.
