Rodolfo "Gato" Gonzalez

How come there is no Rodolfo "Gato" Gonzalez the lightweight fighter from Mexico City who fought from 1978-2004? I can not find him in the game or in the fighter database on the forum. He fought a couple of times for the Lightweight title and finished his career with a 42-11-2 record.

I remember watching him fight in the 80s and also seem to recall that he was carded in the earlier (paper) version of the game and perhaps also in the first couple of computer iterations.

Don't know what happened, I can only guess that people saw the earlier fighter with the same name (from Mexico) from an earlier era (1950s-60s) and thought it might have been the same guy, which obviously it wasn't. I seem to recall this guy as being Mexican-American, from the LA area.

You can't open the file. It has to be imported into the game.

Thanks for posting, but unfortunately I haven't converted to the newer version of the game so this file just generated a bunch of zeros ... anyone have a tbdx2 file, that should work for me, at least.

If nothing else the screen cap I posted gives you the info to create the file.

Bear, if you check the info at the top of the screen, I believe that is the earlier Gato Gonzalez, whose career covered the late 50s and early 60s and not the Gato Gonzalez of later vintage that timbobw and I were recalling ...

As an aside, frankly it is easy to get the two confused, both had the same name and nickname and the earlier Gato Gonzalez was born in 1945 and his career start was in 1959; the later Gato Gonzalez was born in 1959 and his career began in 1978 -- perhaps they were related as well, not sure on that point as one was listed in BoxRec as from Mexico City and the other, from Los Angeles ...

You're right. I posted the wrong file. Don't have one for the later Gonzalez.
