Question Career/Roleplay plans

I know that the release of the game (of which some people take way to seriously) is scheduled to come out without a roleplay or career mode, are there any plans to update or patch the game with this feature later on? I think that this would push the game over the top, and if ABC's Wide World of Sports could figure it out ten years ago you guys should be able to come up with something.

Oh, most definitely! The roleplay/career mode will be part of the next version of the game. It simply became a matter of time; the roleplay/career mode is a massive undertaking for many reasons and we didn't want to delay the game's release. However, all the concepts already discussed on these boards will come to fruition in the future.

Will this version of the game be compatable with any following versions of the game? I ask because it would be cool to be able to have an on-going/consistant career, not just for my fighter(s) but for EVERY fighter that passes through this game, AI or not. It will give us that "sense of history" within the game itself. Having an option io import all fighter stats for every fighter in the TBCB universe would be the way!

Jim when you say "next version of the game" do you mean in a patch for this TBCB game being released or "next years" version? Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing but may have already found an answer:

So, Title Fight Championship Boxing will be released in 2003 as a dramatically enhanced version of the old Title Fight 2001. Title Fight Championship Boxing 2004 will then consist of a revised and improved (because we will always be adding features and tweaking features) simulation AND the role-playing career module.

That quote from Jim Trunzo is in this thread currently on pg 2 of the board
