I want the game to come out as much as anyone. But more importantly, I want a HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT. I have great confidence that the OOTP folks are going to give us that. If it takes a little longer, I don't care. |

Again, my appreciation for you patience. Mine is just about out. However, I have a strong indication that we are nearing the end of the line - I hate the game, I hate the sport, I hate entering fighter data, I hate my dog . . . usually, that means everything is just about set to go! LOLOLOL.
Just my two cents: The feature that I am most impessed with is the auto-scheduler. The versatility of being able to input parameters and have the program schedule is a huge time-saver and a very neat aspect of the game. For those of you not familiar, in prior games you had to schedule all the matches for the autoscheduler yourself. So if you wanted 10 bouts to be fought 10 times each you had to schedule 10 fights, choosing opponents and fight parameters. Not too bad if you wanted all the fights to go the same length and be fought under the same rules but still time-consumming. Now, you can simply tell the program to fight 10 bouts in the welterweight division, using only Archive fighters, with no fighters to be less than 7 or greater than 10 in overall rating. Bingo, matches are set. You can still edit or set parameters yourself but the auto-matching should really be nice for a number of purposes. |

The only thing bad about having summers off is September. Again, though, in all seriousness, thanks Jim for the news. Just think as soon as you are done with this labor of love everyone will be asking, or is that demanding, work begin on the career portion of the game. Jim, sorry to say, I'll be joining that crowd. ![]()

See, was that so hard? Actually, I know it was. But a tentative release in a month or two sounds good. I know things happen and it may be delayed but that is so much better than soon. Now we can get back to our boxing discussions.
We, the customers, are your bosses and we appreciate the info even if it does change. Just let us know when it changes and how it changes and you'll have our support. |

ALLRIGHT!...
I don't do much talking on here, but I read alot. I can hardly wait for this game to come out. I have been playing it since the Avlon Hill board game days. Thanks Jim for the news. If the guy who lost his Jack Johnson needs one...let me know! Jack PS Those sure were pretty blue boxes the game came in back then! |
