Actually, I wasn't trying to judge Mesi's future. I'm not enough of a Swami to do that. I was speculating on game adjustments to fighter ratings. Mesi indicated in his postfight interview that he realizes he has some improving to do before he is a championship quality fighter. The Barrett fight was part of the learning process. What adjustments, if any, would you make to his rating?

Decreasing Mesi's ratings in the following categories will yield results in TBCB 2001 similar to Saturdays' fight against the "known constant" Barrett.

Control vs Slugger - decrease from 8 to 6
Hitting Power - decrease from 10 to 9
Chin vs KD, KO, and Recovery from 2 up to 3
Killer Instinct from 7 down to 6
Endurance from 7 down to 5
Overall rating from 7 down to 5

(Keep in mind, Barrett's overall rating in TBCB 2001 is a 3). Just some suggestions.

In response to BrocktonBlockbusters' question about 11 posts ago about ranking the Klitschkos' punching power with legendary sluggers Foreman, Tyson, Marciano, Louis and Shavers, I have the following response:

Since one of the major factors in rating hitting power in TBCB is knockout percentage, I have the aforementioned fighters' career numbers in this category listed below:

Rocky Marciano - 87.78%
George Foreman - 84.0%
Mike Tyson - 81.48%
Earnie Shavers - 76.14%
Joe Louis - 76.06%

Vitali Klitschko - 91.43%
Wladimir Klitschko - 88.37%

More food for thought; the Klitschko brothers are 6'8" and 6'7", respectively, and both fight at around 250 lbs. In my opinion, their punching power ranks with the all-time greats.

Johnson

It's tough to know what to do with Kirk "Blubba" Johnson's ratings after the Klitschko fight. Is Vitali that good or did Kirk just decide to flubber about the ropes and look for a way out. A bit of both probably.
