Strategies and the Concept Behind Them
WITHOUT GETTING TOO TECHNICAL or giving away our "secrets", I would like to address the way "Strategies Work in the Game":
The strategies are no longer limited because the new method of using strategies doesn't guarantee that your fighter will follow your instructions. You can tell a fighter to fight a certain way every round of the fight but his ability to carry out those instructions will depend upon the following: (1) his rating in that strategy; (2) his intelligence; (3) his corner man's rating. So telling Ali to fought outside offensively, with Angelo Dundee in his corner would produce a 85 to 90% chance of that instruction being followed correctly. Telling Chuck Wepner, with a generic trainer to fight outside offensively, would produce a 10% chance of that occuring! It is a much more accurate system that also allows you to be involved in the corner every round if you so wish. |

If "Normal" is showing under the "corner" tab during a fight, the fighter is not using any strategy. If it shows anything other than "normal", then he is indeed following a strategy and you can usually (if not always) see that reflected in his ratings during the round. Of course, if the computer is controlling both fighters, it is impossible to tell if the command to use a strategy was issued or not if it says "Normal."
Your question made perfect sense...hope the answer did too. ![]() |
