Role Play/Career question

I've searched through quite a few posts and couldn't find much info about the role playing aspect of the next version (probably because the features are in flux, with it being a year away.) My main question is will it be more like OOTP (where you manage a set/stable of fighters) or like ITP (where you are the fighter.)

Role playing normally means that you become the character (boxer) and guide them though the game, so your game ends when they die (retire.) I've seen references to being able to manage a stable of fighters, so maybe the gamer will actually take the role of the manager?

Hello Speck
I don't know for sure which way the role-play will go, but i feel sure its at the very least 12, maybe even 18 months away. Also I believe it will be more like running a stable of fighters.

To be very honest with you, i think Jim and Co will not want to get into role-play debates right now, as they i am sure are looking to make sales of this simulation along with improving it at this point in time there main concern and major priority.

I like i am sure many here, feel this simulation that we now have in our hands *Title Bout* is a Classic. But as you know its not always a great game that will reap its just rewards but often good marketing can make or break sales.

So if it was up to me i would just say enjoy the best boxing game that i have given you, spread the word, help make it a hit, that will almost guarantee that it will be worth while giving in the future our full attention to the Role-play game.

By the way i do my groundwork, and have noted you yourself are in the Software business, so i feel sure you know where i am coming from

Cheers Speck
Danny

PS In case you read me wrong i am in no way part of the Company. Just a guy who wants this to be a winner.

Hi Danny. I agree with everything you said, especially the "classic" part. I think TBCB deserves sales equal to any of the EA (marketing behemoth) sports titles.

Based on TBCB, I would buy the next version no matter what (even no role playing/career mode was included.) This is the first version I've purchased and it's actually much better than I had hoped.
