Ratings Q for Jim or Tom (sorry, long post)

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone had a nice holiday. I tried to use some of the time to prepare my universe. Here is my question, I have noticed that many of the fighters have a pre-set career stage. My question is this, do the ratings they have reflect their abilities in that preset stage? I am particularly interested in fighters like: Frankie Randall, Jorge Paez, Vince Phillips. Ivan Robinson, and Phillip Holiday, but they are all set to post-prime or later and I suspect that their ratings reflect them at the end of fine careers, not necessarily them at the height of their powers. I have seen them fight on a few occasions so I want them in the sim, but I am no expert on their particular strengths and weaknesses so I am hesitant to change anything without a little advice first. Simply put, do I need to adjust their ratings? And, of course, assuming that I do (if I want them in their prime) do you have any quick advice on which categories should be altered? I myself might lean toward defense and PL and perhaps endurance, but I would like to hear your thoughts. Of course, I'd be more than happy to hear from any of the forum regulars as well. I read the forum pretty regularly, so I know that the key is to adjust ratings and then sim fights that actually happened to check for accuracy, but I am just sort of looking for a roadmap from those who have created and/or adjusted fighters previously Thanks.

Incidentally, I just noticed that the judges are individually set as to how they score rounds. I think I knew that, but I forgot it, and recently rediscovered it.........this game is really interesting. I was thinking of randomly assigning biases to judges just to make it a little more interesting. I like realism as much as the next guy, but I'll let it go here and live a little. Ok, so here is the challenge, out of say 15 random judges how many would you guys guess have each bias, which are: Fighter with greater reputation, slugger, Boxer. I'll start the ball rolling.....I say 5 for greater rep, 3 for slugger, and 2 for Boxer. I was hoping someone either has judged fights or knows someone who has. Thanks guys.
