A great game. Worth the money and getting better!

The game has me on the verge of having to enter a game-abuse clinic. It is addictive.
I hate to recommend anything because so much is personal preference, but for this product I will go out on a limb. If you have any interest in a boxing simulation, then this product is a must. If you know nothing about boxing but are interested in learning, then get this game. It is well-put together and the makers appear to have succeeded in achieving their goals. Like anything, it can be better. But it is also a great deal of fun and enjoyment where it is right now. "Two gloves up" George Chuvalo |

I'm not a hardcore boxing fanatic and was waiting for the demo version of this game before making a purchase. Finally took the plunge and picked it up a few days ago... have been playing non stop.

If you know a little about boxing history, you'll be amazed at the sheer number of fighters. You will also appreciate the game even more than someone who does not know the older retired fighters and the pioneers. As your knowledge of boxing and its past history grows so will your appreciation of the game. The game itself will teach you about the history of boxing if you use it in conjuction with a good book on boxing history, something I recommend you have.
The game will ruin your social life and maybe even cause fights with family members because they will lose you to it. On the other hand if you're married for awhile it will keep you out of your wifes hair and maybe save your marriage. Better yet, do what I did and have your wife or girlfriend pay for it as a birthday present and she'll think she bought you the greatest gift and won't mind you spending every free minute you have with it. To put it in stock market lingo, it's a definate BUY. gus

It's a great game!
Good points dempsonny! My mother never knows what to get me for X-mas so she asked about any computer games I wanted. When I told her I had this game, she wanted to pay for it so she'd know I love the game. It worked, she's happy because I have a game I love to play! |

keeps stats
So let me understand this. Does this game keep fight by fight stats or is it just a one fight and over deal. I would like to set up a virtual world where all of the great fighters could fight each other. Can this be done or is this in the next version.

The game does all of this and more. There are plenty of stats like how many times a fighter has been knocked down, how many knockdowns he has scored, punches landed and missed for and against. I now spend most of my day in work dreaming up which fights I am going to stage in the evening!! ![]() |

The game will do all you ask, but the negative side of course is bang goes your life its quite addictive :-) So don't blame OOTP when your partner or girlfriend goes in search of a new lover. |

do all fighters that comes with the game start with a fightiing record already? or cna u have all the fighters in the game start from fresh there stats?
is there replayable value in this game...just wondering after u played it for awhile wont u know who can beat who.. is there a way where u can have the game make 16 fictional fighters for example, with random ratings and put them in a tournamnet and see how they do? thanks |
