Way to keep the string going, Mel. You can never have enough straw-weights. Thanks!

I should have added them to this string, but didn't think of it in my excitement to get the import/export function in use on this board, but there are a couple of 1980s fighters -- Rockin' Robin Blake and Blaine Dickson -- in the "Help Needed" string. Sorry for getting things so spread out, but I remembered Malcolm/Fred asking for Dickson.

HP's a little high on Smith, I think. I remember him being a light hitter, and he only knocked out just over half of his opponents (and a lot of those came late in his career, where he had a long string of fighting some really notorious bums.) Maybe a 4 or 5, tops.

HW - Lynn "Bullet" Ball 1976-1982
Not a good fighter but part of boxing history I guess. Had this guy in one of the older computer versions. Rated him mostly vs 1 & 2 rated fighters.
HW- Lynn "Bullet" Ball (1976-1982) Here is a Fighter with a couple of T.V. undercard appearances in his career. Born in Bossier City, LA. (no date) and fighting out of his hometown of Dallas, TX. with Record of 18-7-0 (13 KO's) from 1976 to 1982. Managers were Winky Groom/Ron Weathers. (Ya gotta wonder about a manager named "Winky"....) With 18 wins in his first 23 fights vs Whos Dat? opponents, he did have Wins over a slipping Ron Lyle (KO-2) who had a record of 37-5-1 record at the time, and a 2nd round KO over a 0-2 Jose Luis Gonzales. Also during this run suffered a 5th round KO loss to Marty Monroe 21-1-1 at the time. His record did get him a shot at the NABF H.W. Title vs Michael Dokes (23-0-1 then) on 1982-01-30 at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV. The Title had been vacated by Leroy Jones in order to fight Larry Holmes for the WBC HW Title. Lynn "Bullet" Ball must of been out of ammo, as he lost in a first round TKO to Dokes. His next and last fight was at the Playboy Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ where he lost a Ten round SD to George Chaplin. Name: Lynn Ball Nationality: USA B. D. Attached are six fighters from the 1980s and early 1990s, including the Title Fight 2001 retired version of Vinnie Pazienza that some people have been asking for.
Also included are my rankings for a champion, IBF featherweight titlist Calvin Grove; two USBA/NABF level champs in Tyrone "Butterfly" Crawley and Terrence Alli; and two hard-nosed, hard hitting contenders in Tony "The Tiger" Baltazar and Melvin Paul, all of whom fought in the feather through junior welter range. Enjoy! ![]()

MJ;
I put two folders in my TBCB folder, which is in Program Files, OOTP: Import fighters and Export fighters. Place the zip in My Documents after download (I created a TBCB zips folder there), then unzip it to the import folder in TBCB. Then I open the game and click on import fighter. I find the Import fighters folder and select the fighter I want to import. It asks if you want to save. Say "Yes" and you're done!

Thanks
That worked fine, good work on the fighters. Maybe you should rate Paz as a Middleweight, where I think he performed better than he did as a lightweight.

Name: David
Last Name: Jaco Nickname: Country: USA Weight class: HW W-L-D, KOs: 24-25-1 (KO's-19) Career: 1981-1994 BoxRec: 0015364 Born: 1957-01-24 Died: Comments: Felt he should be in the game based on those in the game he fought. Out of Bay City.Michigan David Jaco started out with 12 wins vs similar talent, 10 of those wins by KO or TKO. At some point every fighter has to face the truth. In Jaco's case it was a 10-0-0 Carl "The Truth" Williams whom TKO'ed Jaco in the first round. Jaco then went on to win his next 5 bouts, before losing to Carlos Hernandez on points in 10rd's. Split his next two fights then came his one big win, a 7th round TKO of a 8-0-1 Donovan "Razor" Ruddock. The Ruddock win must of taken alot out of him as he found his niche as a Professional Opponent losing 22 of his next 28 bouts. He did manage 5 more wins and 1 draw in that string of fights. He KO'ed a 17-0-1 Michael Simwelu in the 1st and fought to a 10rd Draw with David Bey. Jaco and Bey both fought their last bout in Macao, China with David Bey scoring a 8th round TKO over Jaco. It's sad but notable losses came at the hands of, Carl "The Truth" Williams, Pierre Coetzer,Tony Tucker, Mike Tyson, James "Buster" Douglas, Jose Ribalta, Elijah Tillery, Mike Weaver, Mike Evans, Oliver McCall, Gary Mason, George Foreman, Alex Stewart, Tommy Morrison, Mike Hunter, Alexander Zolkin, Bert Cooper,Melton Bowen, Adilson Rodrigues among others. Gord Racette
HW- Gord Racette (1979-1992)
The west coast of Canada hasn't produced a lot of fighters, but in the early 80's Gord Racette emerged out of the Vancouver Island city of Nanaimo to take a run at heavyweight glory. Racette rode a solid punch to a 25-0 record by early 1982. Most of his opponents were unknowns, but veteran trialhorses Harvey Steichen and Cookie Wallace joined the list as he moved up a little in quality. The next big step for Racette was Jimmy Young, by then a shadow of his former self who hadn't fought since his destruction at the hands of Gerry Cooney. Young demonstrated that he had a little left, and that Racette had a long way to go, by dominating the Canadian for nine rounds before scoring a TKO in the tenth. After that setback, Racette came back to win four fights before challenging Trevor Berbick for the Canadian and Commonwealth titles. As with Young, Racette was outclassed and the fight was stopped in the late going. Racette soldiered on, winning several more fights (including a disputed decision over Scott LeDoux) before a ten-round decision loss to Tony Tubbs sent him into retirement. Comeback attempts and a spell as a kickboxer followed in the late eighties and early nineties, but any hope Racette had left of heavyweight respectability ended in a second-round TKO loss to aging, mediocre Conroy Nelson in 1991. (tested against Berbick, Tubbs, LeDoux, Young, and Rudi Lubbers) Name: Gord Racette Record: 38-6 (28) Nationality: Canada Southpaw: Right handed Division: Heavyweight Career: 1979-1992 Boxrec I.D.: 002422 Nickname: Control vs Boxer/Slugger: 6/6 Hit Power: 3 Chin vs KD: 3 Chin vs KO: 3 Recovery: 2 Cuts: 3 Absorb Punishment: 3 Killer Instinct: 7 Aggressiveness: 8 Endurance: 7 Defence: 6 Fast Starter: 2 Fight on Ropes: 3 Draw Power: 2 Conditioning: 3 Intellect: 2 Proficiency: 10 Fight Inside: 1 Fight Outside: 1 Cover Up: 1 Go for Knockout: 2 Clinching: 73 Style: Slugger Fouls: Occasionally Punch % 2Pt. 3Pt.
