Mel;
Thanks for posting Zouski. Just wasn't the '80s without him! LOL

I think the 1 rating is used a little too liberaly for many of the fighters. I would reserve that rating for light hitting club fighters. I recall seeing negative HP for some women in TF 2001. Does the game take negative ratings in effect?

I agree with the too-many-1s-HP comment, dempsonny. Seems an awful lot of folks are pitter-patters ...
Anyway, if Mel T has no objections, I've got a couple of Euro heavies I could post here.

In the spirit of the Steve Zouski post, here's Alfio Righetti, an Italian national heavyweight champion who fought 1974-80 and posted a gaudy 36-2-1 record with 17 KOs. Righetti posted wins over Dante Cane, Jose "King" Roman, Giuseppe "Bepi" Ros, Mario Barruzzi, numerous other Euro heavies and European light-heavy champ Ramon Avenemar Peralta; drew with Lorenzo Zanon; lost to Leon Spinks and Terry Mims. The stunning KO loss to Mims was the only time he was stopped and sent him into retirement. The draw with Zanon was for the European heavyweight crown.

Anders Eklund was tougher to rate than Righetti because he "rollercoastered" in his career. The big Swede (238 to 253 pounds) was 19-5-1 with 10 KOs, 1982-90. He defeated Alfredo Evangelista, Steffen Tangstad, Glenn McCrory, Jesse Ferguson, Dorcy Gaymon, Phillip Brown and Felipe Rodriguez, but drew with Guido Trane and lost to Frank Bruno, Tim Witherspoon, Joe Bugner, Noel Quarless and Francesco Damiani. He was the European champion, and the win over Brown gave him the "WBA Americas" crown.

It did that to me, too, a few days ago when I input the numbers. I thought, "that can't be right," so after I saved I hit the calculate buttn again and it gave me a 4. I think there may be another bug, because that also happened with a flyweight I created for my replay: initial rating was a 3. Saved and hit calculate again and the guy became a 6. Try it and see if it happens to you, too.
Anyway, I did 100 bouts of playtesting against the guys Eklund faced who TBCB had rated, and he did about as expected. Go figure. I can do more and tweek some if you think it's warranted.

Hey Mark,
No, if your satisified with your play testing the ratings are probably pretty close. I was just surprised when the thing gave me a 1. I've notice that little quirk in that autorating function also. As you say, another little bug there I think. Rocco |

Thanks, Rasmuth and Rocco. Glad I'm not the only one who's witnessed this. Thought I was seeing things and maybe it was time to take a break from the game and rating fighters ...! LOL
Probably should be pointed out to Andreas ...
