future html?

Has anybody ever determined if this game will eventually spit out html reports to make website creating easier? (such as OOTP5 for example)

I would love to update my IPBA website but I just don't have the time to do it the old way anymore. I was hoping for similar html support as in other OOTP games. It is super easy to maintain a website in OOTP5...press a button...it generates and you upload to your site.

Maybe Jim, Tom or Andreas could comment?

I swear that I had just brought this up to Andreas this morning. He has yet to respond on the issue but this is definitely an area that could be expanded in a very positive direction.

Andreas has said that the plan is that just about everything can be printed out in HTML...but the implentation date is unknown. He wanted to fix the major bugs first in the game....hopefully this will be worked on soon...

Yes, we will do all output as HTML files. And this will be the next on which we have to work after finishing the import/export stuff and some small but helpful features. Definitely!

I woke up last night at 4 am with a thought about how to create regional/national titles listings or all-time listings that a few have asked for.

Since we already have top ten ranking capabilities for different boxing organizations could you simply set it up to show the rank for the top 50/100/1000 or ALL the active fighters in my database & output this to an HTML page?

It would then be simple for me to go down the list and cut & paste the different fighters into listings that I want i.e.: the top 10 for the British Empire Championship, the top 10 for the European Championship etc. As it is now I have to manually keep track of the performance points of my fighters and it is a nightmare if I screw something up.

Maybe then we could also have an HTML output ranking of the active AND retired fighters and we would have an all-time listing for our boxing universe.

It would seem easier to expand the top 10 rankings in this way than to try and program some way to have each fighter listed for one title and not this one but also that one...etc etc.

Hope I have explained myself 'cause I'm tired...goin' to Tim Horton's for a coffee now.
