After some weeks of public beta testing, the patch to version 1.2 has finally been released. A big "thank you!" from the TB development team to you for your patience and for your help!
The patch can be downloaded from our site at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/tb/downloads.html. You'll also find an updated full setup file there, and both files for those who purchased the bundled version. The Title Bout Championship Boxing Version 1.2 contains a lot of bug fixes and new features. A detailed list can be found below. Most important for you if you’ve already playing the game and want to install an update might be the following issues: - Will the setup file overwrite your database? No. The setup will overwrite the database in the folder /Data/Default. This is the original database, which is never used by the game during playing. It’s only used when you create a new database. So the setup will not overwrite your database. When you first start the game, it will check your currently used database for its version number, and if it’s not yet updated, it will automatically make a backup of the fighters.dat, and will create a new updated fighters.dat with an updated structure. - What other changes will be made to your TB databases? From now on, the text files with the fighter biography and the venue history will no longer be saved in the database folder. They will now be saved in subdirectories of the folder /Memo in the TB program directory. They will also be named with the fighter’s name or the venue’s name instead of the GUID. This way it’s much easier to edit and exchange these files, and there will be only one file for each fighter instead of several copies, depending on the number of databases which you have created. When you start the program, it will search for the old files in the currently active database, and will automatically rename and move them. It will overwrite files with the same name in the target folder, which is either /Memo/FightersBiography or /Memo/VenueHistory. Please note that also some files in the folder /Templates will be replaced with newer versions. The patch has been tested by the development team and in a public beta test. However, software can always be incompatible or cause problems not found during testing. So please be sure to read the following: Before you install the 1.2 patch or the complete 1.2 setup, we suggest you make a backup of the TB program directory. In case of any problems after the installation, you can simply delete the TB program folder and restore it using your backup copy. This is a list of the changes done since the release of 1.1.0: - Added function to import TF2001 fighter data and history to the Game Options - Added db.ini file to the databases - Added "Years Offset" to Game Options - Added more parameters to the rankings code, so that the rankings of the major organizations will be diverse - The WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBF won't rank fighters who are champions in one of the rival organizations - Added field "Currently used Career Stage" to fighter records for the Career Stages (now you can choose an individual career stage which shall be used as the default for each retired fighter. This will not be the case for active fighters, because you cannot adjust the career stage of active fighters) - Added value "Get from Fighter record" to "Career Stage" drop-down in auto scheduler. There will be no need to select a specific career stage for the fighters in the auto scheduler. In the future this field will default to this new setting. The value which will be used will be the current career stage for active fighters, and the career stage chosen in the new field "Currently used Career Stage" for retired fighters. - Added ring card girl pictures to those pictures displayed between the rounds. They will be used randomly. - Replaced "generic" names of Referees, Announcers, Trainer and Cutman with "real" names. Instead of "Referee", the game will now use "Jay Referson" and so on. - Fighter biography will be copied now when you copy a fighter record - The unofficial scorer will take away a point for a foul now - After adding a group from within the fighter record screen, the drop-downs will be re-loaded, and you can now add a new fighter to an empty group. - Added function to export single fighter records and to import one of more fighter records - Added function to export fighter data into XML files - Added function to export fighter data into XML files and to open them automatically using the web browser for example to print them - When the fighter database is exported to HTML files, a single file will be created for each fighter - Added "Sticky Date" to all date fields - Added filter for "Career Year" and "Fighter Group" to title/ranking screen - Increased the chance that accidental head butts occur and that bouts are stopped due to them - Added "Red Arrows" and links where they make any sense, to open record screens - Changed wording of verdicts for Unanimous, Split and Majority Decisions to add suspense - Made some changes to the commentary database - Added score cards to the bout log HTML files - Added a setting to determine whether the game asks for a date at startup - Made changes to the setup program to fix a bug in the folder selection dialog - The setup will no longer change settings in the config.ini file - Debug info will no longer be written to output files except when using the parameter “debugmode” - Added punches landed/missed/thrown totals to Post Fight Screen - Added CSV Export - Random announcers, referees, judges, trainer, cut men and venues in Create Fight Screen and in Auto Scheduler - Random fight date in Auto Scheduler - Added "Highest Performance Points Total" to the Top10 lists - Implemented data from cubedrum's corrected fighter database - Implemented revised scoring system - Added more info to the pre-fight analysis HTML output - Minor changes to the HTML output - Fighter Biography and Venue History files are now in extra folders, not in the database folder - Fixed: in the HTML output of the bouts the fighter's default condition has been printed instead of the actually used condition. - Fixed a bug that prevented the fighter condition status "Fatigued!" from being displayed sometimes. - Fixed a bug in the venues site rating edit control - Fixed some ranges of the venues ratings Site Index, Price Index, Seating Capacity - Fixed a bug in the "Import fighter from file" function which caused crashes sometimes - Fixed a bug that caused the program to display "Missing Commentary Class" error messages after updating the commentary database files - Fixed the "negative punch count" bug - Fixed some spelling errors and minor bugs Please report any problems on the trouble shooting forum. Have fun at ringside! |

downloaded and installed the patch without problems. It sounds as though you downloaded the full install program and installed that, which is located on that same web page. If you go into the windows control panel, there should be an eLicense icon in there. If you click on that does it show your TBCB license from before? If anything you can use your order id from the original purchase email if you havent installed it on a 2nd pc or you can get Viatech to reset your license. Did it wipe out your dbs? |

Thanks Andreas! By the way aren't the dates wrong for the downloads? It says 1-13-2004, they should read 2-13-2004.

1.10 and 1.2 is almost the same, just a few spelling changes.
The date should be 2004-02-13, right.....just wanted to have it ready in January Will fix that tomorrow.earl, the patch is for free of course! Did you mistakenly download the patch for the bundle version? Just do it again with the correct version, then it will work. Or in case you purchased the bundle version, than that's the version which you'll need. PittPanther, the patch is at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/tb/downloads.html, under Title Bout Championship Boxing Downloads & Patches.

that what is included in the patch is not the latest version of Cube's db. I think he updated his in the time since it was merged into the patch. The db gets installed in the data/default directory and will not touch any dbs you already have. It will be used to create any new dbs you make after you have installed the patch. |

Ok heres the deal...I download the full exe file..guess the orig game by mistake...uploaded on my computer so naturally when I clicked on my tb icon..it popped like it did when I first wanted to install and of course buy online.
I tried, Andreas, to install the below patches, the regular one and bundle one and it still popped as if I needed to buy this whole game again. I looked for elisence icon..it was there but it just brought up two items for title bout but wont allow me to do nothing and I can see nothing..some rows consiting of product, version, license, etc...it wont allow you to do anything nor can I view anything I need. So I need to help here. I did the big goof! My big mistake was downloading the wrong thing and the other things you suggested Andreas did not work, so now what? I have game that wants me to purchase it again and now on top of that what about all my patches including the latest. Please, help. Thanks! |

Quick update...under those tabs on top for the ecliense icon..I right clicked this time under license..it gave me product receipt...I got the product receipt so when I clicked on the tb icon on my desktop to install the license I put the order number in but it gave me an error..it didnt recognize this.
My guess because I upload the download to this game..it didnt recognize my order # because I did a new full down load. On the 2nd eclisence line there list no value under the tab item "product"...meaning that this dang thing I downloaded I didnt purchase yet the top line, my orig license that I purchase back in december with the order #..as stated above the system doesnt recognize it. Now still faced with the same dilemma here what happens next, now can I get my orig licensed game back so I can reinstall all my patches and if so will 2.1 take care of all previous patches. Mood point. First please slow this orig problem I have. Thanks. I realize I screwed up but I will be really upset if I have to purchase this game again!!!!! |

I'm not sure what else to do besides either trying your order-id
from the email you received when you first purchased the game, or contacting tech support for Viatech and having them reset your license. Actually!!! I have an idea. go into the eLicense control panel. Look for the one that shows you are licensed, or right click on them and select product receipt. That should show you the order-id for your order. Write that down in case you dont have the email with it. Next right click on the one that had the product receipt info or says it is licensed and select unlicense. Then start up the game, and when it comes up give it the order-id so it will license the game. Not sure if this will work, but probably your only other choice is contacting Viatech and having them reset the license. |

In the fighter record screen, click on "Open as XML". The ratings and stats will be displayed in a browser window, and can be printed.
