How do I create a database....

Hey Guys,

How do I create a data base that only has the fighters in it that I want?

I only want about a hundred guys in my boxing universe. How do I go about setting it up so that only those 1oo appear when I look at ratings etc.?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the lack of knowledge!!

Click on options, click on the tab for databases then enter in the name of the database you want to create and hit the create button.

Once I do that, does that pretty much just duplicate the existing database?

The first time you start the game it will create a db called MyDB
and that is what gets used initially. When dbs are created they
use the info in the data/default directory. So they could very well
be the same. If you have patched the game since you started
playing TBCB, and have now created a new db it will most likely
have different info in it as it will be based off of cube's work. You
most likely won't notice the differences unless you are really
looking closely but they are there. If you started off the game at version 1.2.0 then there will be no difference between the first
database and the one you just created.

So, Vyshka. After I put the new 1.2 in my TBCB folder and click on it, and all the magic hapens, will I just have the improvements in gameplay in my present database, or will I lose anything such as fighter histories, stats, etc.?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Installing the patch should not do anything to your current
database. Andreas or someone can give the authoritative
answer on that though. If anything I think it might update
the db structure, but will not muck with your data. To get
the benefit of cube's work you have to create a new database
after installing the patch which will base the new db off the
files that were just installed in data/default.
