Fighter's Purse?

Hey Guys,

I realize that for now the "purse" for the fighters is only eye candy, but I was wondering if it is possible to change the purse and change whether or not the bouts are televised.

I just ran the biggest Fight Card ever in my fictional universe and was dissapointed to see that the fight was not televised and all my fighters only got paid a hundred bucks each!

Thanks for your help!

you might want to edit the venue that it was held at or change the venue to one with higher values. it sounds like it was held at a 1 venue.

I have noticed since the patch that all purses are $100.00 for every fight, anyone else had this problem?

I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't sure if it started occuring after the patch.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this...

I've still been getting a wide range of purses and TV exposure post-patch. Everything from the mega-millions to the few hundred bucks.

So am I. In fact if anything I think the purses are too high. When Miguel Canto is getting $11,000,000 for a routine World title defence......well I was surprised anyway.

Yeah, Boxingnut, I would agree that some of my purses have definitely been on the high side as well.

I've also had quite a few PPV cards that I wouldn't pay to see. But, then again, maybe the game really does reflect reality given some of the crap they try to charge for these days.

Thanks guys for your input, but I have run 3 seperate fight cards tonight and used big name venues and had at least 3 title fights on each and still no purse nor Viewing audience (PPV).

I can't help but think that either I am doing something wrong or there is something wrong. Anyone else having this problem?

This is an area I am taking a look at. Very difficult to use standard formulas to work across the board and keep it realistic. Working on a process for the role playing that will hopefully work better and also be usable with the current game.

Tom, would it be eventually possible to take into account the year? A PPV fight scheduled in 1923 would be strange, I guess, as an 8 million dollar purse for a fight held in 1934 would seem a bit unrealistic as well :-).

My big card at the Montreal Forum recently had everyone fighting for a hundred bucks each. Guess I'd better check the settings. Something is definitely amiss.

Like the idea about different purses dependant on the era and no PPV or TV during the pre-TV era.

I need to review the module but I had modifiers set up for those areas so instead of PPV or may be Closed Circuit (remember those days) and also era modifiers. Will dig in to this module.

That is the problem that I am having too Cap. I have run fights at Trump plaza, Madison Square Gardens, Las Vegas Hilton etc. and all have 1oo dollar paydays and no T.V. coverage.

Now, I do have my fictional Global Championship Boxing set in the early 1900's. Maybe this causes it. If it does effect the T.V. coverage thats okay, but my Champion should be getting paid better than my opening bout scrubb.

I have not found a setting that addresses this topic in game, have you?

We have a minimum payout of $100 so if the other modifiers bring everyone's payout that low they will be the same. Like I said I hope to work on it this weekend. I am considering using % of venue attendance figures with average ticket price. Right now the modifiers are venues, title fight, gender, bout # on card, fighter ratings and era. So it is tough to juggle it all.
