Title Bout Board game
I apologize beforehand about getting away from TBCB for just a quick post.
After months of being frustrated by the ridiculous bids on e-bay for the board game I was able to find a site where I purchased the game in mint condition at a reasonable price. I understand that they have at least one used game available for less than $20. So, if you're looking for the board game, here's the web-site: www.castleperilous.com I received my game two days after ordering. Sorry again for going off-topics, but wanted to share my good fortune with someone else who has been trying to get the game. Roy |

That's cool. I picked up one to replace my beat up copy about a year ago from a local shop called "Phantom of the Attic"----still in the shrink wrap. 35 bucks. Not bad. I never did open it!

I couldn't resist and leave it in the shrink-wrap. Amazingly, the rules for the most part came back to me and I was able to get into a bout after perusing the rules.
It brought back a lot of good memories when I used to go head to head with my then teen age son who is now (a 37 year old Lt. Commander) in the Navy. Anyway, back to TBCB and my 1950's universe. |

Nice to hear someone is still playing the board game. I've owned probably a half-dozen copies of hte years, and nearly every card release. But unfortunalety, except for a set of the all-time great cards, i no longer own the board game. Sold many of them at yard sales for pennies -- what an idiot!
I still remember owning the first version of hte game and what a great time i had holding a tourney of the then active heavyweights. I'm nearly certain, although this was a good 25 years ago, that Larry Holmes won the tourney. At the time, he was the best heavyweight -- but there were a lot of good ones. |
