Ratings at FW for Barrera, Morales, JM Marquez &...
Just looking for what others have Barrera, Morales, JM Marquez, Tapia and an ex champ (Yung-Kung Park...not in game...but he beat Esparragoza for the title..and was a pretty rugged soild Champ during the early-mid 90's).
I don't always agree with TBCB ratings (especially at lower weights...some seem to be way off in terms of punching power or chin)... Interested in other ratings for the above fighters at FW weight... Thanks |

Yes, Yung Kyun Park is a former WBA champ. He was pretty soild and his losses (3) were all by close decesions....he was a rugged type fighter....kept the pressure on....
I usually find the lower weight classes punching power seems a little low.....as for chins.....can go one way or the other....some too high....some much to low.......Sometimes I question punching accuracy as well... I'll be interested to see others ratings for the above mentioned fighters....at Feather Weight? For example Morales punching power?....an 8 or 9 ?? |

Just came across "one of those ratings"....where a lower weight class fighter seems to have it's ratings a little off.....
David Santos (JLW)....his punching power is a "10".....yet he is 44-6-0 ...with (29 ko's)....and off his 29 ko's .....hardly any of them are against a top notch fighter......and his six losses (which are VS better fighters....show's when he has hit them...they haven't fallen....(like you would expect from someone with a "10" rating)... |

More goes into how many knocks outs you score tha just hitting power. It also has to do with your punch output and a number of other factors. You can't just look at HP in the game and say a fighter is an overrated hitter.

Well of course that is true. However, if a guy is rated a 10 in TBCB (and I have owned Trunzo's boxing games since they have been out...all the way back to the Lance Haffner game) - if a guy is rated a 10 as HP - it means he is a big hitter and KO type hitter. It is that simple. And Santos at JLW was no 10 HP. With that said, I understand some ratings are simply entered wrong or what not. But from my view many of the lighter weight guys are not rated entirely accurate. (Big name old time fighers usually are) - However, from FW down many modern day and say 1990's and newer fighters are not rated as accurate as they should be. Overall it isn't that big an issue because we have the ability to tweak fighters as we see fit. |
