Judah vs Spinks

New York Post reports these two fighting eachother April 10th to unify the belts. I don't remember HBO advertising this one though.....if so....could be the first fight without a punch landed!

Seems to me it was orginally advertised on a seperate card for 4/9 but was added instead to the 4/10 card ... I've known about it for a while, mainly from HBO ads .... It's strange thought the Wvladamir's fight is the main event, but Heavyweight is the big draw

Judah smacked the **** out of that kid from Columbia. I hope he brings that kind of aggression into this fight.

Last minute predictions anyone? I'm going to go with Judah catching Spinks 7th round tko. If Judah doesn't get frustrated with Spinks style and fights like Pitt says with aggression I don't believe he can be hurt by Spinks. I think Brewster upsets Vladimir in a decision, with much booing and Larry Merchant calling it the worse fight he can remember.

Good predictions. I hope the Judah/Spinks fight is entertaining but I can also see this potentially being a boring close decision fight.

I can definately see that happeneing in the Klitschko fight. The thing is, Vlad knows he has to win, or his career is over, I think he brings everything he has, but for the early rounds , I expect Vlad to be super cautious.
I love the spinks/judah fight for free, but Im worried about two slick boxers making for a defensive fight....I can see Spinks winning this on points, but I also envision Zab scoring a spectacular knockout,, we shall see.
Can't wait for tonight !!!!!!!

Spinks has got allot longer reach (about 10 inches, anyone remember a WW with a 78" reach) which can give Judah many problems. Combine that with Judah fighting at 147 for the first time and that can spell disaster for Zab. Although Zab's speed could neutralize any attack Spinks attempts. I'll take my chances with Spink's jab and grab style.

This had all the makings of a snoozer, (I like tech fights though) not one for the wrestling, martial arts crowd.

I believe Tommy Hearns had an 82" reach.

I like Judah in the early fight. . . I'm not a big fan of Spinks.

Vlad will KO Brewster because he has to.

Ok---so I have Judah via split over Spinks

and Vlad KO 3 over Brewster.

Panther's got it right, I think. Klitschko by KO before the fifth and Judah by split decision, although I'm rooting for Spinks.

Oh god I cant believe so many people are picking Judah to win, It makes me wonder is judah better then I thought? The kid do have talent but can he really beat one of the slickest left handers in the game? And Spinks has talent too.

Judah gives up reach, height, weight (him moving up) And his last big fight ended in a knockout!

These things can be use to motivate someone to win, but it can also add frustration to someone who is losing and make him get angry and if we know anything if you fight angry 9 times out of 10 you lose, I see judah winning the first 2 rounds then cory just straight schoolin him and maybe even knockin him down in the later rounds.

UD for Spinks!

Klitscko fight is a joke, and its not his fault its the wbo how can they have this guy the mandatory? wats up with boxing! But guess what Toney thinks brewster gonna win! Im a Toney fan but its a push! only if brewster can stand only if he can stand then he cna win!

And just to llet you guys kno Cory Sanders will be the HW champion he gonna knock out vitli!

A great card for sure.

Glad I didn't bet.

Anyway, I saw the Spinks vs. Judah fight a little closer than 116-111. I scored it 114-113 for Spinks because I had the fourth as even.

Vlad. . .I can't believe it. Actually, I can------it still was a shock, he was dominating.

Spinks has definately earned my respect, he is a very confident guy in the ring, but I still dig on Judah. From what I have seen, that was the best fight this year.

I was actually surprised that no judge had it ruled as a draw or for Judah, but Corey fought his fight. I give him credit. His last two wins were against good opponents.

Vlad should retire, who in the hell can he fight now?

Wlad could fight Michael Grant, Golota depending if he self destructs against Byrd. Maybe Bowe too, I think he's getting out of prison this month.

The Spinks/Judah fight was pretty entertaining for 2 slick southpaws. I would have liked to see if Spinks could have survived that KD had Zab landed it 1 minute earlier.

Mamma mia!! The Spinks fight could have been a draw and I woudn't have complained, but I don't mind the decision at all, however, if you remember, Spinks was ready to go down a second time, with 5 seconds or so left in the fight. Tuff fight to call, I thought Spinks putting Judah down in the 11th gave Spinks a 2 point round, and thus gave him a won point lead. Judah's knockdown of Spinks in the 12th gave him the 2 point round, and also, in my book, a one point advantage. Overall a great fight for two southpaws, and I was wrong, they did hit eachother.
Klitschko, ehem(clearing throat). Vlad looked sluggish, cold, and threw the same two punches over and over, left jab, right cross. Contact just absolutely devestates this guy.(Vlad)
....So, thats the end of his career....period.
Michael Grant vs Vladimir Klitschko lol

I have NEVER seen a figher look as exhausted as poor Wlad did after that round when Byrd stopped it. He looked like he had just run an Ironman Triathlon.

Agreed, weak chin and a tendency to burn out quickly, but Wlad did land some terrific shots, including a nice left hook. Like I said elsewhere, he reminds me of old time Brit heavyweight Bombardier Billy Wells. He looked great. He boxed beautifully and landed with power. Trouble was, if his opponent could take it, and then get inside, one good smash to the jaw sent Billy wobbling.

I wonder if Wlad got into boxing just because his big brother did? Jack Jeffries, the brother of champion Jim Jeffries, tried his hand at the sport despite the objections of his famous brother. He did not fare well.
