Judging and bells

First off the more I play the game the more I appreciate the judging ... all the fights I watch in my universe I keep my own scorecard for .... In title bout 2001 there were way too many judges because the judges almost always ruled it very similiar. .... the wide variety is cool, just like watching real fights (like the hometown judge that had Guinn winning) .... My best example is the one I listed in my universe thread ... at the end of the fight I had it 95-94 Nelson, Tom Trunzo at rignside had is 95-94 Bowen, the official judges had it 95-94 Nelson, 95 - 93 Bowen, and then one had it 97-92 Nelson ... While I still have draws, they aren't as frequent ... Also I've scored some fights as much as 97 - 94 that went the other way .... This to me is one of the best features of this game ....

Now I may be stupid but in all my 10 round fights sometimes at the beginning of the 9th round is a single bell like normal, other times its 3 bells ... anyone with an explanation?

Yes, I agree. The judges scoring in this version seems to be very realistic and sometimes adds to the suspense of a close fight...because you're never quite sure how the judges will see it. But at the same time, I don't think there's too much variance either. In my opinion, they have this aspect of the simulation spot on.

As far as the 3 bells at the beginning of the 9th round... this has been discussed before and the cause seems to remain a mystery. No big deal, though. I just think of it as a fun little quirk in the game.

By the way mh2365....if I haven't thanked you already, I would like to thank you now for all the pics you've provided. Same to the rest of you who have made fighter pics available for everyone.

Regards,
Mark

At first I thought it signified that the fight was close in the judges eyes, because it always seemed to happen when I had the fight close on my score card.... But then it happened when it was a blowout and confused the heck out of me.

No problem on the pics I actually enjoy looking for them. Like I said in the pics thread I'll probably slow down once OOTP comes out but I love this game and will split the time.... I agree the judging is one aspect that is perfect.
