Unhappy Error Message?

Just curious if any of you have this problem? It's not all the time but every once & a while (like twice today!) I'll get this message:

"Program performed an illegal operation & will be shut down"

when I've just opened TB or right after a fight & that doesn't allow me to save that fight data. Like I mentioned, it doesn't happen all the time, just on occasion. I'm now running a virus scan to see if that turns up anything.

Anybody else run into this problem?

Unhappy Me, too

Yes, I get it occasionally after startup if I try to import/export or rate a fighter. I haven't gotten it after a fight, preventing saving, yet (knock wood), but I do sometimes get the illegal operation message in the other instances. Usually, a restart of the game "solves" the problem.

Thanks vista, in a (strange) way, it's good to know I'm not the only one.

Yup, I was unable to save my WBC Super Middle title war between Hearns & Benn. Nigel dropped Tommy 4 times in that fight before Hearns rallied to TKO Benn in the 9th. I was ticked that error message popped up & prevented me from saving that classic!

Occasionally, I'll access a fighter's ratings during a fight and when I attempt to close the ratings window and go back to the game, sometimes I get a similar message and the game shuts down.

I'll get a similar message, but it's not when I'm playing the game, per se.

If I happen to leave the game open and I step away from my computer long enough to let my screen saver kick on (nothing basic, just the standard Windows XP screensaver), when I go back to try and play the game, it'll cause my computer to blue-screen, do a memory dump, and force me to reboot right from there.

Haven't had any other problems -yet- with it, but not sure if anyone else has this happen to them as well.

I get those occasionally, but only one type of error is a bother. After a fight, when clicking on 'Update Fighter Records' (I think), it crashes once in a while. A crash just after a great fight can be really frustrating, as the fight is lost. All other crashes I (sometimes) get do nothing else than forcing me to restart the game, no harm done. I'm running the game in Win98 and DX8, maybe that is related to the problem?

The error 'TB1.exe has caused an error, must be closed' etc has come up for me loads of times. The worst was after a fight, when I clicked on 'Continue' after seeing the results 'read out' by the referee. It came up with 'the winner by knockout is.....etc' then I clicked continue and bang, it crashes. This is the reason why I probably won't buy the game after the trial.
